It is my pet hate, they move down before the bus stops..stumble a bit..grab the nearest thing. Not one of the many poles or hand rails but my pram handle
Do they think it won't tip up if they fall?
Or am I being too protective of my precious newborn?
It is happening so often now that I snap at anyone who touches it.grr

This thread is hilarious

I used buses all the time when my DC were smaller I never noticed if anyone ever grabbed the pram, I was always too busy listening to other folk talking [blush}

Am rather disappointed that QS' magnetic bolt thing isn't real

theDMsaSHAMazade · 21/08/2009 18:49

pmsl at this thead.. are you for real?

SmallScrewCap · 21/08/2009 18:54

I agree AvadaKedavra

I think there's a lot of mileage in that idea for wheelchairs, shopping trolleys, pushbikes on trains, all sorts.

I thought it was serious at first, but then I'm still impressed with the travelator ramp in Ikea that has magnets in to stop your trolley rolling off.

In fact I'm still just impressed with magnets.

serendippity · 21/08/2009 18:57

Oooh SmallScrewCap, there is a tesco near cambridge that has a magnetic travelator..tis fun

I would think people who do grab a pram handle would only do so in an emergency

Having a very infirm mum I know for a fact that the last thing she would use for stability is a pram.

This is for 2 reasons.. 1. you dont know if the brake is on

  1. you may well tip the pram and you dont know if little one is strapped in

If some stumbled and made a grab for the pram I think I would also make a grab for the pram to keep it stable for the person.

Oi! QS

giantkatestacks · 23/08/2009 13:41

Surely if you're getting on and off buses all the time then you would just be using a Mac techno or some such with all the straps and no difficulties about fitting them into the bus space whichever way round - or in fact 2 at a time - sounds like you may have a ginormopram which isnt really suitable for buses [wanders off whistling]

Gangle · 23/08/2009 21:20

Poor Mumface - what any absolutely unfair load of responses! Nowhere did you mention you were concerned at pram or that it was elderly/disabled people who were annoying you! This would annoy me too.
