because if it is ever revealed that I visited DM website that will be the END!!

All my pleas of 'One must know one's enemy' and 'I only followed the link so I knew what they were saying' will fall on deaf ears and I will be packing my bags!!

hi, sorry if i sound dim but i am new to this site, i keep seeing the daily mail cropping up and get the feeling people arent so keen, why is this?? is there something going on that i dont know about?

MummyDragon · 20/08/2009 17:40

Hi minnie,

The DM isn't much liked on MN. Its editorials often take a stance that offend a lot of people. It's one of those papers that sensationalises news stories in order to scare its readers into believing whatever line they are being fed at the time (e.g. all the scares over swine flu, immigration, etc), and can come across as rascist/homophobic/elitist as well. And it is nicking Mumsnet posts for its weekly Femail (is that correct?) column.

Apart from all the above, I think it's fair to say that MNetters LOVE the DM.

And I bet the DM takes my last sentence and prints it out of context now!!

StealthPolarBear · 20/08/2009 17:42

oh dear, I clicked on this assuming it would be dating sites or porn, but I see it is much more serious than that
