She was on Alan Carr tonight and was gratuitously unpleasant and unbelievably bitchy about Susan Boyle.

I didn't watch 'Britain's got Talent' and am not a particular Susan Boyle fan, but it strikes me that someone with Susan's background needs to be treated really sensitively and I couldn't believe what I heard tonight.

My only consciousness of Amanda Holden IS her plastic surgery which can be compared to slowing down to look at an accident on the opposite carriageway AND her ability to clap and cry at the same time, but maybe in this celebrity obsessed era that's enough?

Mocking a woman with learning difficulties is unpleasant but will it really damage her career? I've never even heard of, let alone watched, the Alan Carr Show.

Those shows give the 'judges' the false impression that they have talent and because of that the general public somehow care about them and their opinion. Our year 6 did a parody of BGT for their leavers celebration... 'AH' was a classic!!

I saw Holden on TV last night, lending her support to a teenage cancer charity ward - according to her, it's going to be great for the teenages because (and I quote) 'cancer is mainly a state of mind'. Glad to know that instead of chemo, peeps can just think themselves well the Amanda way. What a twat.
