AIBU?

to not understand why anyone would find this funny?

Here - baby t-shirt

A colleague emailed this to me. She thought it was funny.

AIBU to think I should say something about the inappropriate sexualisation of babies / children or should I just let it go? Maybe I'm having a sense of humour bypass.

What does anyone else think?

Regarding the word 'pimp'

"You're baby can be pimpin' just like you at the next wedding or formal event."

Pimpin? At a formal event? Blimey!

(Don't get me started on the apostrophe)

I have read spaz before on an american forum and was shocked. But now I see what they are meaning, it's still bad though.

I quite like the party at my crib one, that's quite cute!

Eh katiestar? So a word derived from another word and appropriated in a derogatory manner is alright then? Providing the original context was valid?

What a load of arse. Think you'll find this is how most insults are constructed. By your logic, paki and nigger would have no negative connotations and be perfectly acceptable abbreviations

spaz is really insulting. It bears little relation to any description of spasticity. And yes scope did have to change their name as a result of how people felt about the word spastic.

I would be incensed if I saw someone had dressed their spawn in a 'little spaz' t shirt. Twould hurt me loads more than someone punching me in the face or hoofing me in the fanny

Not following your logic katiestar.....

Can you explain further?

Or should we all still be using terms like mongol, spaz & retarded (or retard as that's more equivalent to spaz than retarded)?

Foul, tasteless and deeply worrying.... I have a sense of humour (mind you, we all say that...) but that's not funny at all.

Mind you,I don't think it's particularly right to have Monster in training, I'm trouble or stuff like that on kids t-shirts.

Am not the most ultra PC of people, but it just looks like labelling to me, and not very pleasant labelling at that.
