To milk DH's lack of anniversary card/pressie for all it's worth??

Luckily he's such a sweetie so I don't mind that I got him a card/pressie for our 9th and he didn't. He didn't forget, just didn't come up with the goods.

Is it my conjugal duty to get everything I can out of it? Cups of tea/him get the dinner together tonight/advantages in future arguments - I've got a good memory

absobloodylutely

milk away and stretch it out over several months if possible.

YABU. You say you don't mind and yet you intend to use it against him.

Odd.

I would milk it for at least a year and then hopefully next year you will get an amazing gift!!

Milk it for a day or two - cups of tea and cooking etc, and see if you can get him to organise a meal out for the weekend maybe?

Don't bring it up in future arguements though, it's not serious enough for that

Milk it for a day or two, then forget it BUT make a note on your calendar. A couple of weeks before your next anniversary....

"Are you off to work dear? Make sure you don't FORGET anything."

"Can you get some milk from the shop...don't FORGET it "

"I'm just nipping out do you want anything?...Ok I'll make sure I don't FORGET"

Or, you could forget to cook his tea/iron his shirt/whatever you normally do for a few days.
That tends to work!
