Ok, I am small (5"0) and she is taller than me (about 5"7 I guess) but she does not have to hunch her back and stoop as if I were 4"0.

I don't know if she thinks it makes her look taller but I just feel so tiny and dinky when she does that.

She does it to DH too, so it is not just me.

YABU. Would you rather she pressed your face into her chest? Of course I think all this unnecessary hugging is completely OTT anyway. Since when do dh's colleagues hug their wives?

if i were you i would strategically duck when she goes to hug me and she would miss altogether and look a fool mwwwahhahaha

She is not a head and shoulders taller than me. Even if she clutched me to her, I would not be at her chest level.

We are in Europe. Lots of hugging here, no place for prude British stiff upper lips.

Wear stack heels. And a pointy hat.

I did think about the high heels, but sadly by the time they get here tonight I am more likely to be in my jammies and slippers.
