to think that rich people are disgraceful? PART 1

I'm thinking about actual people I know....

They live in a big house with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. I think their dcs should share so that homeless people can be housed in the extra space.

They have 2 cars - this is obviously bad for the environment and what's wrong with public transport (in my country everyone uses PT).

My friend buys Dolce and Gabbana handbags and Hello magazine. I think she could do perfectly well with a Tesco Bag for Life and Take a Break - the brazen hussy!

Her fridge is filled with Waitrose ready meals and Chardonnay. Her poor children are deprived of home cooked food! I bet they are SOOO relieved when they get back to boarding school.

I get so cross with her when she doesn't take up my suggestion to turn 1 of her several acres of land into an organic vegetable patch instead of installing a swimming pool.

I just don't get how people make such bad choices!

I don't feel a mug for being taken in, if I'm right she set out to deliberately manipulate. I feel proud to not have been cynical and suspicious!

If I'm wrong and she believes the things she says (possible she both believes them and set out to publicise) then she's still clearly not very nice. What kind of a person refuses to apologise when they've clearly upset someone?

curiositykilled · 13/08/2009 11:03

I think she clearly has talent but her art websites make her look exactly how she made herself look on here - pretentious and superior. I can't imagine anyone other than hugh hefner wanting to hang her paintings in their home!

what kind of a person are YOU to try and track someone down in RL?! and you're still haven't stopped making the wildest assumptions about the nybom you have found on the web. how sad. you should be ashamed of yourself.

clemette · 13/08/2009 11:16

The web is a strange thing. Because that site is google linked to your facebook page, xing and details of your boys. You may now need to have a look at your privacy settings.

Perhaps now you understand that if you are deliberately rude, provocative and untruthful, someone will be infuriated enough to unmask you.

Portofino · 13/08/2009 11:18

If you mean me, I'm not ashamed. And I haven't made any wild assumptions either. If you had just answered the questions put to you in a genuine manner, maybe I wouldn't have been so curious. And obviously you were completely misleading people. It can be positively harmful to pretend to be an expert when clearly you are not, and here you actually genuinely worried and upset people. And showed no remorse or concern when this was pointed out.

curiositykilled · 13/08/2009 11:19

nybom - really, I'd give it up now. Whatever the truth is, you're not making yourself look very nice.
