well of course they have. The plates come back clean, don't they? And look!! They've left a note!!

Well what does it say, what does it saaaaaay???

oldraver · 10/08/2009 23:05

I try to avoid Lazytown at all costs. The music I find very jarring going bam, bam, bam all the time

MintChocAddict · 10/08/2009 23:09

Was reading the other day that Andrew Agnew (PC Plum) from Balamory spent two years directing Me Too.
Must have been open season for the criminals in Balamory while he was on secondment!

mehimandthekids · 10/08/2009 23:28

Granny Murry is just far too creepy happy, with an awful false smile. She also gives everyone leaving a moto for the day, Oh it makes me feel sick just thinking about how sickly-sweet it all is!!
Also the kids scream at the telly to get it turned over, off Numberjacks. They are terrified of "Problem Blob" with his multipul green eyes every where!

Mumsnut · 10/08/2009 23:28

Bird and Bird? Air gun, anyone...?

PerArduaAdNauseum · 10/08/2009 23:30

I can't stand Lazytown, but stopped loathing it when I read an interview with Max whatsit a couple of years ago, when he said that he'd designed his outfit so that a poor kid in S America could just pencil on a moustache and wear a swimming hat and be a superhero if he wanted. I loved that. And I may have bookmarked MollieO's link for further perusal (ahem)

PerArduaAdNauseum · 10/08/2009 23:31

Didn't an MNer say she'd had Mr Tumble once irrc?

EyeballsintheSky · 10/08/2009 23:33

WTF is that Granny Murray thing about? I don't understand it so heaven help the kids. Two theme tunes. What?

Love Night Garden
Charlie and Lola
Balamory
Big Cook Little Cook
Something Special

Hate that bloody it's our planet shite, hate the kids yelling it out. Hate Nina and numberjacks and Lazytown and don't understand Waybuloo.

MrsMellowdrummer · 10/08/2009 23:36

Lazytown costs £1million per episode to make apparently!

PerArduaAdNauseum · 10/08/2009 23:37

Can't stand Night Garden. Surely Social Services should be told about the pontipines?

MrLSG · 10/08/2009 23:54

Programmes on kids channels aren't intended to appeal to the adults - they are aimed at the kids.
My 2yo loves lazytown
(He also loves Pepper Pig, but I change channel if I realise it's coming on as he copies the pig snorts just too well!)

ipiratethief · 11/08/2009 00:07

I like Robbie Rotten, he's a great character, the actor is cool. Nicer thighs than sportacus too!!!

PerArduaAdNauseum · 11/08/2009 00:17

You did see this didn't you ipirate?

EyeballsintheSky · 11/08/2009 00:30

Some programmes are meant to entertain the adults as well, Balamory being the obvious one. My dd doesn't get the joke when PC Plum plays guitar on the roof of Buckingham Palace, or the bohemian rhapsody video to his song, or the police feet from the credits of the Bill. That programme has loads of hidden things.

StrikeUpTheBand · 11/08/2009 00:46

I love Balamory for that reason - and the fact that there must be something in the water because they all appear to be a little dense! It's as though they are children living in a town together but looking like adults!

At the moment DS (2.5) is starting to develop real preferences and will get upset if something he doesn't like comes on the TV - even if the alternative is me switching off! SO although in the past I could just avoid the annoying programmes and watch things I liked, it's getting harder now. Luckily he's quite consistent in what he likes - likes Show Me Show Me best, will mostly enjoy Waybuloo, Big Barn Farm and Timmy Time. However, has never liked Chuggington, Lazytown etc. Lucky for me really!

The only 2 programmes I can bear to watch are Lazy Town and Charlie and Lola.

nappyaddict · 11/08/2009 03:43

Actually I lied. I also quite like

Balamory
Me too
Doodle do
Nina and the Neurons
Big Barn Farm
Green Balloon Club

AmazingBouncingFerret · 11/08/2009 06:58

OMG thats Sporticus!?!

PfftTheMagicDragon · 11/08/2009 08:39

Whenever LazyTown comes on DS says "lazytown is RUBBISH!".... obviously I am quite vocal on my dislike of the show

LetThemEatCake · 11/08/2009 08:48

Chris from Doodle-Do is not doable, but he's watchable. Mainly because he didn't graduate from the school of kids' Tv presenting where all you have to do to get your diploma is open your mouth as far as it will go and raise your eyebrows as high as you can.......

Choosparp · 11/08/2009 09:08

Agree Chris from Doodle-do isn't too bad - he's certainly better than eyes-permanently-popping-out-of-head Mr Maker. Where's my gun?

Actually first up against the wall would have to be Ben and Small, quickly followed by Granny Murray. Can put up with Sportacus, and you can't really dislike PC Plum, the campest PC on the planet. It's the two idiots that run the shop in Balamory that really do my head in...

ipiratethief · 11/08/2009 09:10

perardua, no I hadn't!!

The guy who plays Robbie is tall and leaner, i prefer.

ipiratethief · 11/08/2009 09:16

Stefan Karl who plays Robbie

MadameOvary · 11/08/2009 09:31

OMG I have started to rather like Sportacus, all the more so since I saw those pics (drool emoticom)
