dh forgot my birthday again and dd has really cheered me up today

so a girly shopping day

or a family friendly day

Two schools of thought- give DH the chance to redeem himself and have a lovely family day, or prolong the agony and go out with DD. I'd have the family day out tbh.

no Im not being mean to ds..

there is just a very large age gap and dd and I can sit .....ds will do everything else but sit for a long time

I have had a lovely day with both of them today

but sometimes I just want to spend time with my dd

have had a lot happening recently and time with dd is rare two days in a row is amazing

I don't think I'm following this very well at all

no not the day off

but he had the longist shift and is now on call and working on some paper at the moment

last year he forgot and had to drive miles to take a test on horse ..he is a vet

he just has the view that everything can be put put back a day or two

I would go for the day out with dd and enjoy it and then enjoy your day with dh & ds tommorow.

Dont feel guilty - DD1 is 8 and DD2 is 19 months, and I crave time with DD1!
Next week I have booked a day off work, am leaving DD2 in CM, and me and DD1 are having a day

Adults birthdays can be put back a day or two.
