whooosh · 31/07/2009 12:35

Don't do it!! YABU-Get a SEBO.

audreyraines · 31/07/2009 13:08

i lurrrrrve my miele, but haven't tried the dyson so can't say. but in my mind it's not unreasonable.

SausageRocket · 31/07/2009 13:09

I have just swapped my crappy Dyson for a Miele Cat & Dog upright (they are equivalent models).

YABU.

Buy a Dyson and regret it.

lol @ tegan's "I've had 3 in 6 years". How can they be wicked if they've only lasted you 2 years on average?!

whooosh · 31/07/2009 13:11

I thought exactly the same Sausagerocket!

My Sebo is 9yrs old now and never given me ANY trouble whatsoever-still pulls me round the house.

Bloody HATED my Dyson.

Thunderduck · 31/07/2009 13:12

YANBU.They are great.

luckylady74 · 31/07/2009 13:15

The women who owns the vacuum repair shop near me which sells all of them thinks they're no good. She said either buy an inexpensive hoover/zanussi for £60ish or buy a sebo-the only high end vacuum she'd buy.

DamonBradleylovesPippi · 31/07/2009 13:18

a friend of mine swears by her sebo, she's had it for 13 years. and yes 3 in 6 years does not sound good to me either.
miele is great though.

ZippysMum · 31/07/2009 13:19

LOVE my Dyson.
Had it (and 2 black dogs and a beige carpet) for 6 years.
It is FAB.

Pikelit · 31/07/2009 13:25

Dyson. Men think they are a gadget rather than a household appliance. They work ever so well on the carpets too. Dysons, that is. Not men.
