I live on a very busy main road. Every single day without fail nearly everyone who walks past my house looks into my window? Why is this? It infuriates me why look into my house? why?!!!!!??? Im sick to death of people doing it and i have suddenly decided that tomorrow i am going to sit by my window with my hosepipe and soak people when they look through my window im going to soak them!!

Tiredmumno1 · 26/07/2009 17:24

Oh whatever, other people here have agreed with the op you just dont like it that i reply. So that means you are ignorant for trying to tell me what opinions to have. Oh how silly of me you were right i was wrong. And laurie just cos i worded it slightly wrong, thats it shoot me in the head. + i didnt mean i was that young but what the hey.

Greensleeves · 26/07/2009 17:25

I think people are assuming you are young because you express yourself in a very infantile way.

Greensleeves · 26/07/2009 17:25

I was, anyway.

Mumcentreplus · 26/07/2009 17:26

..

Mumcentreplus · 26/07/2009 17:29

adjusts drip...Triedmummo most people who are looking at the window are as others have suggested looking at their reflection or their eyes are drawn there with no intention of malice...perhaps just sheer noseiness..

geekgirl · 26/07/2009 17:30

but maybe people don't just casually glance - we live next to a river and have a footpath which forms part of the 'great British walks' running along the bank, through our garden. We regularly get groups of people stopping to stare at our house (which isn't particuarly interesting - a late 70s dormer thing). It is actually rather rude and irritating. Don't want to put up anything to cover the windows as it's the whole front of the house and we obviously like the view...

I for one would love to be able to spray the starers , particularly the ones who will stand there and stare and point at bits of the house and the garden - WTF?!

BreevandercampLGJ · 26/07/2009 17:30

Greeny I just sprayed my pre-dinner drink.

We have no curtains, I hope the neighbours can't see me.

at greensleeves!

celticbohys · 26/07/2009 17:32

Sometimes i just catch myself doing this, (looking into window's) you don't even realise you are doing it until something or someone moves inside to draw your attention.

I personally think it is human nature to look.

bradsmissus · 26/07/2009 17:33

I think I better wrap my DCs up in tinfoil when were out the house in a case a paedophile comes and looks at whilst where out.

bibbitybobbityhat · 26/07/2009 17:37

One of my favourite things is walking through a prosperous neighbourhood (say St Johns Wood) at dusk in the winter before people have closed their curtains and blinds. I always have a little look in. It feels oddly homely and comforting even though it is not my house ...

Maybe I'm the one who is deranged/psychotic .

Tiredmumno1 · 26/07/2009 17:38

Thanks mumcentreplus :-D. At least it made a sunday afternoon a bit more exciting lol.

Bleatblurt · 26/07/2009 17:42

Is Bounty closed for the day and the nutters are coming over here?

I always think people with no blinds/curtains and the lights on are exhibitionists. They WANT me to stare.

Tiredmumno1 · 26/07/2009 17:54

Yawn yawn yes we are the loons from your local centre. Oh grow up butterball this is a place for discussions but i dont go round calling people names straight away if they have a different. And apparently i am immature :-o

Tiredmumno1 · 26/07/2009 17:55
