I always used to be out on a Saturday night till DS arrived.

Now, I love Big Brother but I sooooooo miss X Factor, Strictly Come Dancing, Britains Got Talent.

My Saturday nights just aren't the same without this tripe fabulously entertaining tv.

I am preparing myself for a huge backlash here so go ahead!

Saturday night tv is crap even for dcs

What happened to shows like The A team etc

bred · 25/07/2009 14:31

agree plum. Dh and were only lamenting the other day, that there was nothing for the DC such as the A team, knight rider, dukes of hazzard, magnum etc.

On the plus side, they do love total wipe out.

I found myself looking forward to September as Strictly will be starting. I do need to get a life.

FickleFairy · 25/07/2009 14:36

Lol Hairy.

I know what you mean. I think to myself "Is this really what my life has plunged to??"

Glad I'm not the only one

Hole in The wall is back soon

BitOfFun · 25/07/2009 15:01

I don't want to get into Strictly, but I love the singing ones, and BGT. You are quite right, Saturday night is not the same.

YABVVVVU to watch Big Brother though!

FickleFairy · 25/07/2009 15:10

Lol Bit.

To be honest I am BB mad and have always watched it and watched it every night at that. But only got into this one about two weeks ago, so I am either getting far more sensible as I get older OR this one is as crap as everyone is saying.

Charlie to win though!!!

Bring back Brucie and The Generation Game

'give us a twirl'

Madsometimes · 25/07/2009 15:35

I can easily give reality TV a miss but I do wish there was a good Saturday night program which we could all sit down together as a family to watch. My children are 6 and 9 and they would really appreciate an up to date Morcombe and Wise, Generation Show or Muppet Show type of thing.

We do have the Muppets on DVD, but it the star guests are totally meaningless. It seems that this type of thing is totally out of fashion. We do love Dr Who though.

FickleFairy · 25/07/2009 16:00

Just thought I'd add that I think Ant n Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway is brilliant!! Shame that's not on for longer.

Think those two are perfect Saturday Night Family TV Viewing.

You aren't all glued to the cycling on ITV4 on an evening then? How odd!

PlumBumMum · 25/07/2009 18:33

I haven't watched any of BB this year, am I missing much?
did catch abit of last night new eviction interview, looked like a quizz show!

Knight Rider (new revamped)is back on the Sci channel, watched abit for old times sake, it was crap even Val Kilmer doing Kits voice didn't do anything for me

Bring back the Hoff!!

I told dh that I think I was Knight Riders biggest fan so he tried to catch me out with questions like
what did you call the big Lorry?
And what did you call Michaels evil twin & the evil Kit,
totally sad but I remembered!

bred · 25/07/2009 18:44

Plum bum- can't compete with your knight rider knowledge! I did see one of the 'kit' cars at universal studios though...many years ago!

bred · 25/07/2009 18:48

not sure what night it's on, but we also love watching you've been framed together.

Hmmm... I am seeing a pattern emerging ... We seem to enjoy laughing at people falling!

Oh how my DC would have enjoyed noel's house party and mr blobby!

PlumBumMum · 25/07/2009 19:00

bred yeap its sad I was thinking the same tonight, how the dcs would love Noels House Party!
