Grrrrrr, Swine Flue Related *sigh*

My DS has symptoms of swine flu but actually has asthma and croup. He is 7 and he knows about the media induced paranoia....

So would everyone stop bloody saying "it is swine flu" (like they can confirm the diagnosis, not working in the medical profession and all) and the knowing looks as he was crying his eyes out last night thinking he is going to die from this and "he doesn't want to die yet Mummy because i've not been to Second Choice" (our term for our EuroCamp holiday as we couldn't afford a First Choice holiday, LOL.

Who are these people who are saying this? Friends and family or strangers?

whether or not it is SF, you need to reassure him that very few people are dying from it.

Oh bless him, I remember being 7 or 8 and convinced I was going to die of CJD, was horrid -
I agree, I mentioned to a friend yesterday that I'd been feeling a bit poorly, then had a phone call from a third friend offering to pick me up some tamiflu no thanks...

when DN and ds2 had swine flu, I had ds1, 11, thinking thy were going to die. bloodly media......

DD1 (10) has had swine flu and is now running around like a mad thing looking for her homework book whilst putting on socks and singing at the top of her voice

3 of her friends had it and your Ds chould be reassured they are all back to normal and causing mayhem on the last day of term!!!

There is a funny side, he has the croup cough and funny sound when he breathes in and he asked 'did he sound like a pig with flu? Was he turning into a pig", LOL
