the following categories?

Celebrity 'nice' MNer

Celebrity 'naughty' MNer

Visiting 1 problem poster

Secret journo poster

Short lived poster, 'visiting' from another site and feeling like a tourist abroad, enjoyed it while it lasts but happy to go back to the home comforts

Majority MNers, well everyone else really who fill in the gaps between the top 2 groups' discussions, without anyone really noticing

and now the returning 'Zombies'

This follows on from whomovedmychocolate's thread here and I thought I would throw it to the AIBU wolves

Mmm, an MN 'Would Like to Meet'

Liking it.

Any other landed gentry/toffs?

Oh, furry creatures catagory - that's me.
(shame it also relates to my real self too)

How about a MNer who has no shame catagory... for those TMI moments. (anyone else remember the DIY bum surgery?)

MyCatIsGreebo · 22/07/2009 18:21

voodoo Greebo is the mad cat owned by Nanny Ogg in Terry Pratchett books - he is a bastard and so is my moggy! In fact, I may just change my name to MyCatIsABastard and have done.

I was glad to see I hadn't killed the thread though!

HecatesTwopenceworth · 22/07/2009 18:23

ooh, excellent. my very own label! I'm a Majority Mner.

I may have cards printed

MIAonline · 22/07/2009 19:02

After much deliberation I have decided to add serial name changers to the categories, as some change so often it takes you a while to work out which group they actually belong to

So now we have

Celebrity 'nice' MNer

Celebrity 'naughty' MNer

Visiting 1 problem poster

Secret journo poster

Short lived poster, 'visiting' from another site and feeling like a tourist abroad, enjoyed it while it lasts but happy to go back to the home comforts

Majority MNers, well everyone else really who fill in the gaps between the top 2 groups' discussions, without anyone really noticing

The returning 'Zombies'

Long term lurker

Serial name changer

Oh and Hecate, I wouldn't get those cards printed just yet, not until you get your category correct.

OP posts:
HecatesTwopenceworth · 22/07/2009 19:10

oh god, what am I then? Or do I not want to know?

gobby mner
fulloshite mner
bossy mner

MIAonline · 22/07/2009 19:13

Well as a mere observer I can't really say, but I would hazard a guess at the top one

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 22/07/2009 19:13

Eeeee, people have heard of me!

I do actually drive an astra, but as alicecrail says it's from a book.

I think I am perhaps prolific (alas no more as I now have a full time job) but not exactly sleb as I don't have a unique selling point or any great wisdom. I'm just about a lot.

TrillianAstra · 22/07/2009 19:17

I think a celebrity has to have things that "everyone" (for which read, a good proportion of active posters) knows about them. What that thing is might vary depending on who you ask though. But a real celebrity would inspire the phrases 'she's the one who...'

eg

Shineonecrazydiamond is the one with the penguin guy

BitofFun is the one who shows us her tits

Mamazon is the one who is 8 feet tall with giant norks

Rhubarb and Custardo make a pair, Rhubarb did the fake David Tennant Twitter, Custardo is a little bit scary doesn't beat around the bush

HecatesTwopenceworth · 22/07/2009 19:17

well, I'll admit I can be a tad gobby. Sometimes. Once in a while. In a nice way...

oh dear.

Hey Reality, I didn't know what to say about you, wanted to say 'Reality is getting married' but since that's your name now it's a bit too obvious.

(Reality has tattoos and an annoying sister/SIL/both)

pourmeanotherglass · 22/07/2009 23:21

regular lurker, occasional poster here,

what category is that?

I mostly only post something if I think I've got something new to add - normally by the time I've read to the bottom of the other coments, its all benn siad

Mamazon · 22/07/2009 23:24

am i really most famous for being freakishly tall and having norks??
mine arent even the biggest here. honestly they are nowhere near as fabulous as people would have you believe.

i was certain i'd be known as being knikcerwettingly witty and astonishingly wise, and maybe even selflessly giving and caring.

oh and of course my unmistakable modesty

ImmaculateContraception · 23/07/2009 14:22

maybe alcohol-related names also.

ie pourmeanotherglass
vinegartits

ImmaculateContraception · 23/07/2009 14:23
ImmaculateContraception · 23/07/2009 14:24

never heard of Rhubarb
shineon is married to a what now? a penguin guy? does he work at a zoo?

when he comes home is he a little...fishy?

ImmaculateContraception · 23/07/2009 14:25

I get it now, mamazon...as in Amazon
so are you 6' or taller??
are your feet big also? I am 5'9'' but with gigantic feet.

ImmaculateContraception · 23/07/2009 14:26

mycatisgreebo - - what does he do that makes him a bastard?

ImmaculateContraception · 23/07/2009 14:28

MIA - -
list the celebrity naughty MN...

???

ImmaculateContraception · 23/07/2009 14:29

MIA -- do you mean 'naughty' as the opposite of nice, albeit better described as 'nasty'

or naughty, as in cheeky,

so how do you define the nice ones as different?
they could be nice and cheeky

or is naughty a nicer way of saying nasty?

ImmaculateContraception · 23/07/2009 14:31

dont think anyone would like to be described as 'nasty' even the nasty ones...

or maybe they are so nasty being called nice would be the greater insult.
