I understand if it is for a medical need.

I know this will kick off but have people not heard of contaception, it makes me so that people have to make these decisions.

Thing is, pregnancy is not an inevitable consequence of every single fuck. So it's not the most unreasonable risk in the world to skip contraception when you are at the safe end of your cycle or have had a history of gynaecological problems. If getting PG would be an absolute disaster then it's probably not the smartest risk to take, but it's one people get away with taking quite a lot.
Other than that, though, when a woman chooses to terminate, that's her business and no one else's.

has the OP been counting?

I had a termination at 17 years old and agree that I had 'heard of contraception'. I was young and naive and had the 'it will never happen to me mentality'. However, I made my decision at the time not based on what I thought was best for me but what I felt was truely best for my unborn baby.

There is not a day that goes by where I don't think of my unborn baby and I can assure you many a tear has been shed (including now). I know I am not alone in feeling this way and suggest you think again before stiring such upsetting feelings in so many women.

far worse to bring an unloved an unwanted child into the world and let society deal with the consequences.

You should read 'Freakonomics', troll, there's a very interesting correlation between the legalisation and availability of abortion and an overall drop in crime across the U.S.

Ooo harsh thread. But i do have to say the only time i hate hearing about terminations, is when it is kids having kids, its so wrong, and must be so traumatic, i just wish some youngsters would listen to the wiser people, who know the consequences of having unprotected sex.

I would have to say i dont agree with termination but i do agree with a womans right to choose i dont press my feelings onto others.
The reason i dont agree with it is because i have been ttc for 5 yrs with 4 mc but that is no one elses problem but my own however it does make me sad that women have to make the choice, i think a baby is a gift and should be cherished but that is my personal opinion.

I think it must be very hard to live with regardless, if you have an abortion you live with awful feelings of guilt (what i have been told) and if you have the child you may have different problems in your life. it cannot be an easy decision to make under any circumstances and for whatever reasons and although i dont agree with it even i can see that.
