To think I am not a bad parent if I allow my dc's to eat the occasional Happy Meal?

Which is washed down by a FruitShoot, milk or water?

If you don't personally agree with children eating fast food, please don't make self righteous posts, after all you probably make parenting decisions that I would go at!

Each to their own, the world would be a very boring place if everyone was "perfect"!

only of they suck some cola cubes later and don't clean their teeth before bed

Thunderduck · 06/07/2009 22:59

YABVU because now I am craving a burger and I have no way of getting one.

MsUndastood · 06/07/2009 23:02

If you figure out how to get one thunkerduck, could you send one this way? (lincolnshire?)

differentID · 06/07/2009 23:03

Crikey, perfect equals boring!

FlappyTheBat · 06/07/2009 23:04

can highly recommend the special burgers they are doing at the moment

wish mcd's did a delivery service!

OP posts:
Thunderduck · 06/07/2009 23:04

I will do. Big mac do for you?

MsUndastood · 06/07/2009 23:04

Do they not deliver in your area?

MsUndastood · 06/07/2009 23:05

Of course i am joking

If they have one of those big tasty's with bacon i'd love one of those.

Yummy

FlappyTheBat · 06/07/2009 23:06

if everyone was perfect, then we would all be living perfect lives, with perfect children, jobs etc.
there would be no aibu, because there would be no need

OP posts:
Thunderduck · 06/07/2009 23:07

Big tasty will be on it's way soon.

PS I'm more Thunder than Thunker.

They really should deliver. They'd make an even bigger fortune doing so.

MsUndastood · 06/07/2009 23:10

Oops, sorry, I didn't realise I had misspelt your name

I wish KFC would deliver the are my fave fast food, but i nearly always get an upset tummy afterwards (why oh why do i still eat it?)

FlappyTheBat · 06/07/2009 23:12

I hope they never start a delivery service.

I limit eating in mcd's to once every 6 weeks as want to teach dds' that there is nothing wrong with eating fast food.

If they did a delivery service, would be too easy to order once they were in bed

OP posts:
Thunderduck · 06/07/2009 23:12

LOL. It's ok. It's positively mild compared to the typos that I reguarly make.

You probably eat it because it tastes so good at the time that you forget what it does to you.

And now I'm craving a fillet tower burger with no mayo.

Thunderduck · 06/07/2009 23:14

I believe that they deliver in certain cities in the States.

FlappyTheBat · 06/07/2009 23:16

oh well, won't be long until they do the same in some parts of the uk then!

oh for a chicken legend with cool mayo!!

OP posts:
BexieID · 06/07/2009 23:19

I love the mayo in the fillet burgers. Maybe I should ask for extra?

Thunderduck · 06/07/2009 23:19

You're welcome to my share of the mayo Bexie. I can't stand the stuff.

MsUndastood · 06/07/2009 23:21

Gosh, I am soo hungry right now, and I had been so good today and walked miles (in the blardy rain too)

FlappyTheBat · 06/07/2009 23:27

I was there only 2 weeks ago, is my will power strong enough to resist going there tomorrow?

Have been at work all day and eaten as well as you can when buying food that the nhs provide!

But am now starving!!

OP posts:
monkeyfacegrace · 06/07/2009 23:35

Ahhh Im 2 minutes from reaching for the phone and calling Pizza Hut delivery...well thanks very much MNetters

MsUndastood · 06/07/2009 23:38

I was toying with the idea of popping to the local burger place, its literally just down the road, and If i was to wait for it about 50 meters away form the shop I can see my house...

I wouldn't ever dare though, I just know that the one time I did something terrible would happen, like I would get run over, and being a single mum that means DS would be on his own all night.

I know he wouln't ever wake up or come to harm, but am afraid that something could happen which means i wouldn't be able to get back

BexieID · 06/07/2009 23:39

I'm planning my next vsit to McDs .

FlappyTheBat · 06/07/2009 23:43

ok, hands up who's going there tomorrow?

OP posts:
MsUndastood · 06/07/2009 23:44

I will probably end up going unless I can fin something to satisfy this craving (and i'm not even PG)

trixymalixy · 06/07/2009 23:46

As a mother of a child with allergies sometimes it is a lot easier to go to McDs than find somwhere else to eat as at least they have a list of allergens ready rather than having to trust to the knowledge of waiters or chefs.

Plus as we generally cook from scratch he eats pretty healthily so the odd McD's isn't going to kill him.

Also i believe in everything in moderation as restricting things makes them more attractive.
