to think my mum doesn't quite get the whole computer/reality thing

my computor is broken, i was telling my mum that it could be a virus.

She said, "can you get anything for it, or will it just go by itself"

so, will it?

It must be at least 15 years since I last encountered that sort of misunderstanding. Then it was from an old lady who lived near my Mum and had had a very sheltered life. She read in a newspaper that there was a serious computer virus around so immediately hurried around to show my Mum so that she could warn me and DH just in case we caught it off the computers at work!

But I don't think even my Mum, who has no computer experience, would be that mislead - then or now.
