in the winter, he insists on shorts and t-shirts.

right now (in this heat) he is in jeans and a jumper.

AIBU to do this face -->> at him??

and is he BU to keep said clothing on, then complain that he is too hot.

damn child!!!

ds 1 or ds 2?

FranSanDisco · 30/06/2009 18:32

There are loads of kids at Dd's school wearing fleeces still. Kids are weird, nuff said!!

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 30/06/2009 18:34

DS1.

DS2 would be naked given the chance

HecatesTwopenceworth · 30/06/2009 18:35

yeah, mine are both fairly weird

Overmydeadbody · 30/06/2009 18:37

DS is definately very strange.

pickyvic · 30/06/2009 18:37

do you really want to talk about strange children.....ive got an aspie - we could be here all night! (god love him....really!)

Kimi · 30/06/2009 18:39

I got one of those , I have hidden his winter coat or he would still be trying to go to school in it

MummyDoIt · 30/06/2009 18:40

DS1 (aged 6) is insisting on wearing long-sleeved PJs to bed in this heat. Won't be persuaded to sleep naked or even wear short PJs. And he always has to have every shirt, even casual ones, buttoned up to the top button and every top tucked into his trousers. He has his own style!

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 30/06/2009 18:41

well, I do wonder about DS1 TBVH picky..........DS2 has just been DX'd with a sensory processing disorder, and reading up about it, DS1 has it in reverse......whatever issues DS2 has, the complete opposite is DS1.

hecate, yours are lovely

OMDB, yours or mine??

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 30/06/2009 18:42

kimi, he is not that bad, but he has a coat avoidence thing in general tho.....

MummyDoIt, yes, he has his own style......that is what it is!

yanbu
but that is boys
ds went out in a hoodie on saturday!!
in the winter he will go out without a coat

Goblinchild · 30/06/2009 18:43

Yea! Found you vic!
Aspies with broken thermostats, bare feet and a T shirt in the snow, long black IKEA dressing gown in 30 degrees.
Let the weirdness flow free.

pickyvic · 30/06/2009 19:17

hi goblin! glad we keep bumping into each other....yes mine has a wonky thermostat too but more so in winter! - its T shirts with no coat in the depths of winter! and all i get is "im fine"....
odd is ok!

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 30/06/2009 19:19

hey 2shoes, they don;t change as teens then

OP posts:
pickyvic · 30/06/2009 19:19

saying that....now i think about it its all he ever wears....winter or summer. is that a wonky thermostat or an absent one!?

ghostofpsychomum - welcome to our wonderful world! its always interesting!

noddyholder · 30/06/2009 19:21

My ds walks to school in winter with a polo shirt and plimsolls.Yeaterday he came down in a bobble hat

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 30/06/2009 19:23

tis certainly a fun world

OP posts:
GhostOfPsychomum5 · 30/06/2009 19:25

noddy, lol.........sorry, but that is funny

OP posts:
pickyvic · 30/06/2009 19:27

keeps mine interesting! he would absolutely cringe if i told you this - but when he started school we had to TAPE tellytubbies for him....and he was deeply into the powerpuff girls....he is 17 now...he has found new and manly things to get obsessed about....

noddyholder · 30/06/2009 19:32

Even weirder he was watching Glastonbury and said I'd never go there I prefer the tennis!!!!he is 15 and his dad is a rock drummer he was gutted and was muttering 'rock n roll'

coffeecups · 30/06/2009 19:36

And there I was thinking I was being unreasonable. I keep having huge raging discussions with my 3 yo daughter who insists on wearing tights or long trousers and full length sleeved t-shirts. This from girl who used to be naked at the first sign of sunshine.

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 30/06/2009 19:36

picky, mine was similar only with spongebob....

noddy, that has to hurt!!

OP posts:
pickyvic · 30/06/2009 19:39

bless!

my DH on hearing DS come falling down the stairs (he doesnt walk anywhere - he runs or falls) shouts "ooooo mr grimsdale"....dads eh! lol...saying that ive often "some mothers do 'ave em." he is my own little Frank...lol. but he is lovely, has heart of gold. (mostly anyway - just dont touch his lappy!)

pickyvic · 30/06/2009 19:40

said...i missed out said...some mothers etc etc..

lljkk · 30/06/2009 19:45

DS1 will not wear shorts to school in this heat. He says and I think it's true that no boys in KS2 wear shorts, no matter what the weather. Drives me crazy.

DS2 ONLY wears shorts no matter what the weather .
