...cleaning, hoovering and hanging the clothes on the line so dh doesn't come home from work and think I've just been lying on a sun lounger all day? (I have a bit)

It's been far too hot today to go for a walk or take the dc's anywhere outside. They've been in and out of the garden and paddling pool, watching telly and playing in the playroom.

I'm sure he wouldn't even say anything if I didn't but I've just realised what time it is and how little I've done! The dishwasher is still full of last night's stuff! Don't know why I feel so guilty.

oh i do this all the time - and they need never know!!! i think as long as it all gets done in the end what difference does it make!!

The housework will be there for another day - the sun may not

If you hadn't done the mad dash he probably wouldn't have noticed anyway

YANBU - because it is an act of love and respect for someone to make the house clean and tidy before they come in.

There is nothng worse than coming into an untidy house after a hard day at work.
