I've had very little sleep due to it being so humid and I feel like my clothes are sticking to me and my hair has gone all funny?

Amongst other things that have gone wrong this morning probably due to no sleep like making a complete hash of breaking my egg and it going everywhere!

oh dear
have just caught a glimpse of my hair in the mirror - it looks like helena bonham carters!!

HumphreyCobbler · 29/06/2009 09:18

No sleep is horrible, it ruins your whole day.

I have only had two hours due to teething dd. I have got five people coming to dinner and a birthday cake to make and a birthday lunch to prepare for tomorrow.

It is going to be hell

and neither am I

my hair is like rod hull's in this heat

imanidiot · 29/06/2009 09:22

Remember Monica in Friends when she went to Barbados.

That's mine. And I've got to stay indoors in the heat with a poorly child

On Friday night I insanely decided to put up an IKEA shelving unit

At the end my hair looked like Monica's in Barbados - inexplicable

There is a reason why I disagree with the oft-repeated 'a ponytail is not a hairstyle'. I too look like Rod Hull, so I go for the Croydon Facelift in humid weather

There is no sunshine here, just brooding, muggy clouds.

I've given up on make-up too today. Just slides off and feels yucky.

I sure am attractive today.

Talking about hair, I normally take the children to school, then come home to shower and hairwash. Today though I thought I'd wash my hair first, knew I wouldn't have time to dry it properly but the way we walk, (through a track from our back garden to school), my hair would dry by the time we got there and hardly anybody else uses this track!

It had to be today though that there was a knock on the door, 8.15 from my friend with all her three, saying she'd rather walk with us than drive, as it was such a nice
day! She took one look at me and said, "Crumbs, your hair's still wet, you'll struggle drying it now! I had a frantic five minutes with the hairdryer while she waited, (hmm, said we'd catch her up but she was set on waiting)!

Anyway we all walked up together, she looked as if she'd just stepped out of a hair and make-up shoot, (always does), I felt most dishevelled next to her!{blush]

ha ha reading this has cheered me up a little

no make up here, hair tied back into a ponytail (what there is that is long enough any way - my hairdresser would faint if she saw me now!)having a decent hairstyle is all well and good until it gets like this!

my hair is blonde so no monica hair style here, just starts off being fluffy then looks like I've washed it in chip fat - hence the ponytail!

Yeap my hair all frizzy and dry and I'm too tired to try and fix it!
Although I'm not complaining I'm afraid the rain might come!

dmo · 29/06/2009 12:54

AuntieMaggie · 29/06/2009 15:09
