wtf about what? That she gave birth in her 60's or that she didn't choose to be a sahm after going to all that trouble to have a baby?

How dare she actually have a job. I take it you're a SAHM op?

cocolepew · 28/06/2009 10:53

I wish I had her energy

cornsilk · 28/06/2009 10:54

Exactly cocole. at the nanny as well.

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 28/06/2009 10:54

oh, you are definitaly NOT being unreasonable to think WTF about that article!!

but then, it is the DM and its usual tripe

AuntyJantyMinikyMoniky · 28/06/2009 10:56

I'm not trying to be nasty, I just don't get it!

what don't you get?

That she had a baby in her 60's? that she went back to work?

you need to be clear about what it is you are judging.

FiveGoMadInDorset · 28/06/2009 10:57

Get what?

She runs her own business, so do I na dI was back working part time 8 days after.

but what don't you get??

the crappy piece of reporting, or her decision about her life and family??

live and let live I say.............far too much going on in my life to go judging someone on what the DM claim!

I'm a SAHM now, but I was back at work after having dd. She was 14 weeks old. So I don't see WTF you're trying to say.

So, she's older and has had a baby. So she's going back to work. So she's doing what lots of women do. I don't really see the problems.

And PLEASE don't let this kick off as WOHM and a SAHM debate. This woman has made her choices. She had a baby late and she's gone back to work. HER Choices...not necessarily yours, but FGS leave her be. She's not hurting you or her baby.

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 28/06/2009 11:03

I went back to work when DD1 was 5wks old.

that said, I was then a childrens nannie, so could take her with me

GhostOfPsychomum5 · 28/06/2009 11:03

reality, I thought that.....

paisleyleaf · 28/06/2009 11:04

It's a couple of hours a day
my friend leaves her newborn twins for that long while she does school run and pops to the shop....it's nothing really.

And, maybe it's better for this baby to be more used to other carers. When this mum got pregnant it was known all along that chances are she won't be around all the time.

auntyjantyminikymoniky · 28/06/2009 11:04

Ok, apparently I ABU!

reality and ghost - totally with you. DM strikes again - I was particularly amused by their pointed 'single and divorsed' comment

BUT, she's had a caesarian and she's back at work after 4 weeks? Health-wise, this isn't the best idea is it? Or is it just lifting and driving you can't do? Haven't had cs so bit clueless!

Above all, hats off to her for being able to think straight enough to go back to work! Mind you, having a nanny helps

southeastastra · 28/06/2009 11:05

amanda platell was going on about this on the news this morning. i really can't find room in my brain to care one way or the other.

cornsilk · 28/06/2009 11:05

LOL auntyjanty!

Songbird · 28/06/2009 11:06

sweetnitanitro · 28/06/2009 11:10

YANBU to think WTF, I think the exact same thing every time I have the misfortune to read the Daily Mail.
