Ask them to ban you.

It should not be impacting your life like this, seriously, de-reg.

SammyK · 24/06/2009 21:02

If it really is infringing on family commitments then YANBU

DrEvil · 24/06/2009 21:03

how do you mean put you out of your misery? I'm not sure I understand.

DisturbinglySexuallyInactive · 24/06/2009 21:03

what's to stop you re-registering though?

smallchange · 24/06/2009 21:03

But deregging (is that even a word?) rarely stops anyone. You'd only end up coming back as lucyellensmum2...

It's a public website. You'll just lurk. Got to be willpower I'm afraid.

lucyellensmumisgreat · 24/06/2009 21:04

lol, ok ok - im just TRYING to deregister! But i can't seem to do it. Can smoone please tell me what to do

Seriously. Don't bother! Just turn off the pc and go off and do something less boring instead (pot/kettle)

lucyellensmumisgreat · 24/06/2009 21:05

oh yeah, i know smallchange, but i just want to dereg and come back if i have a problem that mnet can help with, instead of get embroiled in all the rows and bullshit - cos i have no willpower see

I do know what you mean.
Perhaps set yourself a time target?
Only come on after 7pm, or whenever is best for you?
Try and be strict about it, it does suck you in!

Thunderduck · 24/06/2009 21:07

You can do so here.mumsnet.com/member/Page?call=RegistrationRemoval

BottySpottom · 24/06/2009 21:26

You can put a timer on so that you can only access certain websites at certain times (router block). I asked to be banned from another parenting website as I was spending too much time on it and didn't have enough willpower to stay away .

Ninkynork · 24/06/2009 22:02

I have reported your OP to MNHQ. Hopefully they will see it shortly.

HTH.
