i have bought a pushchair from ebay. I asked the seller if i could collect monday morning and she said this was fine. We are almost two hours into our journey and i have just received an email saying she forgot to tell me she wont be home until 2pm. We cant go shopping or anything as we havent a pushchair. Aibu to be really pissed off with her?

Where are you travelling to Knickers? If you park in a Q-park they will lend you a puschair and sme shopping centres will do the same.

Are you posting from your phone?

Do you want me to try to find somewhere you can take the kids for a couple of hours... like a soft play place or something?

I don't know Durham at all, but I am on the internet...

Knickers0nMaHead · 22/06/2009 09:34

Yes, i always use my phone. Ive had a search and i think theres a soft play at the leasire centre here. Just going to to have some breakfast first!

I know Durham. I used to live there.

Have you got a Sat Nav?

There's a lovely small manor house with a lake with ducks to feed, deers to feed and a really nice pub with soft play all in one just outside of Durham in Spennymore.

It's called Whitworth Hall. We used to spend a lot of time there when my DD was little.

here's the link

There'll be directions on the website.

Good luck.

She was an arse for not telling you BTW.

ChippingIn · 22/06/2009 11:02

Sorry, just had someone turn up unexpectedly. Are you sorted now or is there anything I can look up for you?

BTW She is an arse Just as well you don't have to rush home to pick an older child up from somewhere. It must have been a great buy to drive that far for a buggy!

Knicks, if you travel up towards Newcastle, go to thr Metrocentre, they have prams you can hire and loads of shops to occupy yourself with. Its about 20 mins up the A1, very well sign posted.

Knickers0nMaHead · 22/06/2009 13:31

We have gone to the metrocentre but cant find anywhere to rent a pushchair, so we have gone for lunch!

It was one of the help desks. Never mind. Sorry

TheChilliMoose · 22/06/2009 17:38

You could have bought a cheapy from Argos for under £20. How far did you travel? Must be a really great pushchair to spend a lot of petrol money to get it.

StealthPolarBear · 22/06/2009 17:42

so sorry - am in Durham and if I'd seen this earlier I could have met you for lunch!
Assuming you had wanted lunch with a strnage internet lady
I assume you've got it now and well on your way back?

Knickers0nMaHead · 22/06/2009 19:45

It was quite cheap anyways. Shouldnt of taken quite so long but got caught in traffic. Stb, i dont mind meeting strange internet women yes we are home now thankfully.
