ds1 is 10 1/2 and has ODD. right now he is doing everything in his power to rile me. I have always had the same rule footballs are not to be kicked or thrown indoors. ds2 20m is rolling his ball across the floor so ds1 is doing everything to make him cry by snatching it, throwing it up in the air, kicking it etc just so ds2 can't get it.

What is ODD?

sweetfall · 21/06/2009 18:33

put DS1 in the garden NOW

put DS2 somewhere safe

make yourself tea. Camomile if you have it.

you are not being unreasonable at all

sweetnitanitro · 21/06/2009 18:34

I had to google it. It's Oppositional Defiant Disorder.

I'm afraid I've never heard of it before today so I can't really advise, can you not just take the ball away for now to save any more arguing?

HecatesTwopenceworth · 21/06/2009 18:37

Oh. I see.

OP - has the team who diagnosed your son given you any information on how to deal with him, or referred you to any groups who might be able to help?
