I am fairly new to Mumsnet so not too sure, from what I gather is it someone who posts something deliberately controversial or something?

I genuinley am not sure.

A troll is a liar. A horrible troll will make up some sob story and many, many good people get dragged in - even to the extent to sending money, offering to visit or what ever.

A GOOD troll, is a regular Mumsnetter who makes up a story which is funny and everyone joins in in the spirit it was intended.

Someone who makes things up to get a reaction

Cross posted pirate - just seen your link, again I would probably fall for that!

Am I mental?

Well, not mental, but I am gullable.

Pirate - that is superb and agree that I would have probably fallen for it (although the name is a bit of a give away!)

here

Gillyan · 17/06/2009 20:05

Thanks itsjustafleshwound that explains, I thought as much.

I don't actually post on any that seem too ridiculous, I just wondered.

Thanks
