to be peeved dh just let DD2 fall asleep

asked him to watch her/keep her awake while I went to sort washing out been 10mins come back and she is asleep..his defence..I thought she was watching tv quietly
She is 2.5yrs which now means instead of bed at 7pm it will be nearer to 9pm.

This drives me mad!! My mum does this with dd. Last Friday she let her sleep for two hours and the child went to bed at 9.40pm! Grrrrrrrrrr.

glad its not just me..dh is looking at me like I am a loon for fuming

My mum always looks at me as if to say, "You're so mean, just keep her up a bit later tonight." Erm, I DON'T WANT TO, I want to eat dinner in peace and have at least an hour without Tikkabilla or Mr frickin Tumble.

Mine slept today on the drive home from a very energetic session at the soft play. I know she needed it but am gutted she won't be in bed, away, asleep, by 7pm
Made me laugh out loud though about Mr Tumble. I can't stand that man!!

huge sympathies I hate it when my mum/mil/dh let dd2 sleep, on saturday I had to work and dh phoned me at work to say she had gone to sleep (the fact she had her dummy and blanket means he got them off the top of her wardrobe for her to falla sleep with) guess who was dealing with her at 9pm saturday night?

On monday she did it again although at my mums and to be fair she did crash asleep with no dummy/blanket but she was still up 8.30pm on monday night and dh swanned off to the gym with his mate as it was already planned

yesterday and today no sleep and shes exhausted will be in bed by 6pm and hopefully a nice 12hour strech then

ah poor baby though being tired.

I have 6 dc-youngest is 3.5yrs,who is currently asleep on the sofa. I too was sorting out washing, but no-one else here at moment to keep her awake. After 6 dc I just accept it-she will go down later tonight, I will have less quiet time, but am having quiet time now.
Small dc still need a nap at some point in the day, and I have always let mine sleep,cos I presume if they are sleeping, its cos they need to be.Their sleep patterns cannot always be fitted-in with our routines.
On the plus side-if there is one-it has saved me a fortune in wine in the evening-and hence expanded the life-span of my liver,as usally have some dc up till late on in evening.(Perhaps I could hide in the bathroom and have a secret tipple)? Theres only so much tea one can drink in a day.
