epipen style I hasten to add!!!

lots of friends, and people I know vaguely, seem to get hugely excited at the thought of stabbing me.

now, either it is because I an that great that they all want to ensure my survival.

or

they do not want to be entrusted with 5 mini-psychos

or

they do in fact hate me and really hope to do it!!

Roneef, If you were a nice person, and you were starting a "my hay feaver is making me feel awful" thread, you would no doubt get a lot of sympathy from other Mnetters. The way you are carrying on, I am not sure the sympathy would be quite the same.

For someone who says OP must have too much time on her hands, you certainly seem to have quite enough of it yourself as you have time to waste on such a "boring" thread!

roneef · 16/06/2009 21:48

You're probably right mammag

I can't help it.

psychomum5 · 16/06/2009 21:57

you must like me tho to have to follow me about and know I a wittering on surely???

and so what if I start a thread on this......lots of people start threads on (boring to me) stuff......am I obnoxious and spiteful enough to go slag them down? No, because I was taught respect and manners.

you clearly were not.

maybe your mother spent too much time on things other than you??

is that why you have this attitude??

do you need hugs, or counselling??

Gorionine · 16/06/2009 22:12

Meant to say. "I will only accept a brand new one!" Your generous offer unsettled me!

drlove8 · 16/06/2009 22:12

lol

psychomum5 · 16/06/2009 22:13

did she get bored of me, or maybe she has tried to report me for being a troll

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 16/06/2009 22:18

Oh, how wonderful if psycho got reported for being a troll!

I did want to stab you, but it seems we have a new victim, can we kill her with butter?

psychomum5 · 16/06/2009 22:20

I am not sure

killing her with kindness and hugs might work tho

OP posts:
drlove8 · 16/06/2009 22:22

trillian , as in dragonbutter? ,lol at psycho lovin trolls to death!

TrillianAstra · 16/06/2009 22:23

Butter is like kryptonite to psycho - just regular butter though, not dragonbutter (the poster or the thing that you should never google).

drlove8 · 16/06/2009 22:28

you do know i am going to google it because i keep hearing never google it!

drlove8 · 16/06/2009 22:31

urban dictionary

TrillianAstra · 16/06/2009 22:36

I'm not sending it, I don't have any.

psychomum5 · 16/06/2009 22:37

dr8love.......I am never ever going to google it, simply because I have bee scared by the terror in peoples faces when they return from the land of google......

as for roneef.....she seems to have a big chip on her shoulder, joined about a mnth back, think curry leaves are a bif cure-all for excema yet never had to cope with a child longterm, and is rude beyonf belief to them, and is obnoxious and vile to pretty much everybody on here.

makes me wonder exactly why she is here really???

still......

I am here, having fun

OP posts:
TrillianAstra · 16/06/2009 22:40

Oh yes, the 'is it cos I is recommending curry leaves?', I remember now!

hedgiemum · 16/06/2009 22:42

I totally understand your OP, psycho! DH gets such a happy look in his eye at the thought of me needing him to stab me with mine that it terrifies me. I haven't mentioned it to anyone else in RL as still coming to terms with needing it I think (feeling pathetic emoticon)

(What's it like having your epipen administered??? I was only prescribed one recently, and I'm scared of it. I know I should be less fearful than of anaphalaxis again, but how does DH know if I really need it administered...?!)

psychomum5 · 16/06/2009 22:51

you know, when DH stabbed me with mine, I never actaully felt the 'stab'....felt more as tho he has punched me in the leg very hard.

then the stuff hit, and I was flying (well, heart was racing more to the point).

cannot remember much after that as then the ambulance came, stabbed me again, and ogygen was placed on me, nebulisers.......they worked on me for about 30mins before taking me to hospital.

DD2 thought it 'well cool' tho....was amazing for the girls apparently seeing paramedics working their magic

as for getting used to having one......took me a while, and even now I have my moments. I am probably making mistakes now tho as I have gootten used to things and getting blase as not having had reactions.

OP posts:
misdee · 16/06/2009 22:55

cani practise on you

just in case

[am scared that dd4 will need one]

hedgiemum · 16/06/2009 23:01

Thanks for that. Don't know if its alleviated my fears, but at least I'm more informed!

I'm especially freaked out at the moment as pregnant. I stupidly asked the GP
"Is an epipen safe for a pregnant woman"
to which he smirked and said
"Safer than dying, yes!"

I know what you mean about mistakes. One of my allergies is to paracetamol (developed it suddenly about a year ago.) I've only made one mistake since the diagnosis, blearily at 3am giving DD1 some calpol, spilling it slightly on my hand, and licking it off as it tastes nice!
Took piriton immediately (had the medicine box right next to me) and DH phoned an ambulance. Don't remember much after that, but at least I'm alive to tell the tale.... The next time I went to the GP, he prescribed the epipen....
