to be slightly miffed at our next door neighbours

We decided to have an impromptu BBQ this weekend but our neighbours had washing out.

We like to be good neighbours so we knocked several times to advise them we were going to have a BBQ but no answer. Their parents came round and we advised them of the BBQ, they called the neighbours who were at another neighbours for, guess what, a BBQ Our neighbour came back to remove their washing but seemed quite huffy that we were having a BBQ in the first place. Bear in mind we delayed lighting it for nearly an hour so we didn't ruin their washing!

I'm a tad miffed at their attitude tbh, next time we might just light the damn thing!

I never ask the neighbours - they'll realise when they smell it

I really wouldnt bother next time! Just enjoy your bbq

I wouldn't expect a warning from my neighbours (nor do I get one). You were very considerate. Don't bother next time.

Slightly miffed is putting it lightly IMO.

Don't ask.
