and feel that I should keep it a secret (have name changed obviously) for fear of being lynched!!

It is a perfectly legal party that has been totally demonised in the media. I was even worried that I may be able to be traced from my ballot paper but I took the risk and voted for them because all the other parties are the bloody same and none of them have the guts to sort this country out. Suppose I'll never get to heaven now .

OP posts:

Eastern Europeans are white.

spokette · 05/06/2009 21:30

ivehadenuff

Do you think Hitler was misunderstood?

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 05/06/2009 21:30

So look here, Ivhadenuff old chap. Between us the posters on this thread have listed numerous examples of utterly noxious and repulsive BNP policies and your only defence is 'the new guard will change all that'. As I've already said, I doubt very much that you will, but since you disagree with so many of the BNP's core policies, and the only conviction of your own that you have admitted to is a vague idea that there are too many illegal immigrants about, and that you would like to be able to tick a box labelled English on official forms, WHY on earth have you signed up to this repulsive bunch of neo-Fascists. I am genuinely intrigued as to what an open-minded person like you (I have no doubt that some of your best friends are black) is doing in this party. Was it all a terrible mistake? Did you really mean to join the British Naturists Party and just got a bit confused?

MamaHobgoblin · 05/06/2009 21:30

Am relieved to see that Ivehadenough isn't actually a regular MNer! What a moron.

I'm more concerned about the OP, really. From the little she said (and I do believe she's for real, not a troll), it sounds like she's really convinced that the BNP would make a positive difference to this country, and she claims to have read and considered the other parties' literature. She sounds very much like the 'average, normal, middle-classed' voters in Germany who were fed up in the early 30's and enabled the Nazis to gain power. I know she's in the minority, but it terrifies me that because of cross-party fuckups and general ineptitude, we might see the rise of a similar wave of popular apathy with the belief that none of the main parties are any good, so we might as well give this lot a go.

isittooearlyforgin · 05/06/2009 21:31

independiente - surely there has to be a better way !

SolidGoldBrass · 05/06/2009 21:31

It is unfortunately true that right-wing parties increase their support when times are hard: this is because thick people like the idea of having some category of Other to blame. (Cant get a job or a council house? Oh it's because of all the Them and nothing at all to do with corporations being permitted to hold down wages, and councils not putting any money into affordable housing...) What is worrying and depressing about the BNP is not the existence of a bunch of fuckwits peddling racist crap, it's that they have actually, conveniently, set themselves up as a nice big Aunt Sally which the other political parties just love - 'Ooh, look at the BNP, they are so horrible, don't you dare vote for them, but don't question us when we cut the funding for council houses or red-flag the emails of anyone with a funny foreign name, and don't criticize any of our worryingly 'stop political correctness now' policies because if we don't enact them then people will vote BNP...'

moffat · 05/06/2009 21:32

ivhadenuff I despise your views and everything that you represent but I nevertheless hope that you will never know what it is like to have to flee your country in fear for your life. I love this country because it has welcomed and integrated people from all over the world and we are all richer for it.

daftpunk · 05/06/2009 21:32

lol LGP

spokette · 05/06/2009 21:32

British Naturists Party lol

barnsleybelle · 05/06/2009 21:33

mama As ive said before, i think the op and ivhadenuff are one and the same. She took a day out to read up and then came back with a new name. She jumped on the google thing as a previous poster suggested it.

ivhadenuff · 05/06/2009 21:34

Just when i thought i could leave they keep bringing me back lol,

@ barnsleybelle(barnsley?? didnt we win there :P
many people can dig up the ridiculious shit the bnp used to spout when it was run and infested by the national front, WE DO NOT ADVOCATE THAT SHITE ANY MORE. the partys moved on and grown up, thats why ppl are joining them. anyone can google some negative staments from the days when the party was ultra facist, its moving to the centre ,, gaining many voters , as you can see. GOODBYE i really have to go.

Peachy · 05/06/2009 21:34

'would like to be able to tick a box labelled English on official forms'

Can't you already?

Perhaps you should move here- I get to tick that on almost every form.

Except you'd have to move to Wales of course.

But those forms- isn't the not ciking anything else bit indicating Engliah?

I did once have a customer at a college I worked at request a Pixie box though- maybe she should start a neo fascist party to gewt the right?

Thunderduck · 05/06/2009 21:35

Clearly you haven't looked at their website if you truly believe they've moved on.

barnsleybelle · 05/06/2009 21:36

Yes, i'm from Barnsley... Doesn't exactly take einstein to work that one out does it? Still doesn't change how i feel about the nonsense you have spouted.. What exactly is your point?

ruddynorah · 05/06/2009 21:36

i just nearly fell of the sofa laughing at this one cos a bunch of morris dancers should have won..

SolidGoldBrass · 05/06/2009 21:37

Now, I'm an Englishwoman. I wouldn't say I am proud of it because for me, pride comes from something you actually do or achieve. But I do, for instance, celebrate St George's Day but I do so in the spirit of 'any excuse for a party, everyone is welcome to join in'. It's perfectly possible to celebrate cultural traditions without being a loopy bigot, and I can't say anyone has ever actually tried to prevent me from going Morris dancing, sinking a pint of real English Ale and toasting Shakespeare's birthday, so I'm not exactly afraid of 'political correctness gone mad'.

ivhadenuff · 05/06/2009 21:37

re my posts i have a faulty keyboard, apologies, ps:im a man.

daftpunk · 05/06/2009 21:39

her point is the BNP are actually a jolly nice party ......but she's gone now...off to celebrate her parties massive gain (1 seat was it.??)

barnsleybelle · 05/06/2009 21:40

ivhadenuff Faulty keyboard my arse... you are clearly unable to string a literate sentence together so are blaming your equipment....

I also notice you only have the guts to own up to being a man, just as you conviently have to leave... shame on you.

Anifrangapani · 05/06/2009 21:42

I am an economic migrant... I was told I could stay by one of the BNP canvassers in Liverpool because I wasn't really an economic migrant because I looked "right". If that is not racism then please explain what right looking is.

Most economic migrants pay taxes because they move to a country to work. To remove the problem of migrants who don't pay taxes then legalise their status so they can register to do so. While inequality remains in the global economic system it would be impossible to keep people out of this country with a more stringent imigration policy. However I cannot see supporters of the BNP advocating the abolision of trade quotas and tariffs on imports.

bullet123 · 05/06/2009 21:42

"many people can dig up the ridiculious shit the bnp used to spout when it was run and infested by the national front, WE DO NOT ADVOCATE THAT SHITE ANY MORE"

Oh really?:

www.hopenothate.org.uk/the-real-bnp/the-BNP-in-their-own-words.php

If you can't get into the link, I'll point out in particular a comment that your leader, Nick Griffin, has stated:

"Without the White race nothing matters [other right-wing parties] believe that the answer to the race question is integration and a futile attempt to create "Black Britons", while we affirm that non-Whites have no place here at all and will not rest until every last one has left our land."

junglist1 · 05/06/2009 21:42

Solid, your post about the real reasons for the country being in a state was spot on. The authorities don't give a rats behind, so it must be foreigners faults. I'd love to educate people on critical sociological perspectives, I really would, but I don't think BNP voters are open minded enough to even consider them.

daftpunk · 05/06/2009 21:43

a man posting on mumsnet at 9.45 on a friday night...Rock On...

isittooearlyforgin · 05/06/2009 21:45

perhaps he's canvassing?

spokette · 05/06/2009 21:45

Ruddynorah from that link

Anyway, back to the group Diversity, just what on earth is actually diverse about them? From the picture all I could see was a bunch of mongrels that all happen to share a talent in spinning around on their brainless heads,

DIVERSITY is just another excuse for PERVERSITY.
