Dp works dor the council and an eye test caravan set up in the carpark offereing free eye tests and discounted glasses for all staff and family. dp went yesterday and booked me in for today at 11.30.
i was on a health walk with dd till 11.10 and then drove 8 miles to have my test while dp looked after dd.
when i got there the test caravan was locked.
dp phoned the number on the door and they said they only had 1 appointment this morning so it wasnt worth opening. i could come back at 4pm.
they had dps number but didnt bother to let hhim know.
i was fuming. dd had fell asleep by then so i had to drive home again. i will not be going back at 4.
AIBU to think they had booked the appointment and should have kept to it. they even said anyone not turning up to their appointments had to pay.

nope, YANBU, how very annoying.

VinegarTits · 02/06/2009 13:12

YANBU to be annoyed, they should have informed you

I would demand a bigger discount off glasses for your inconvenience

its not worth me going back, i will have spent more on petrol than the price of an eye test and i dont think i need glasses anyway, was just having a check to make sure and check for other problems.
i cant believe that did it.
