One of my colleagues has just signed up to this and has gone off in a huff because I have said she is wasting her money!

FWIW I too am overweight and I know the only guaranteed way is to eat less and exercise more - I have done it before I got pregnant and yes its bloody hard work but this is one area where I am pretty sure there is no quick fix!

Also FWIW I am a GP and she is one of our nurses

So AIBU anyone prove me wrong??

syc- I wish you well with your ongoing dieting- it is not and never has been my aim to make you upset- just to argue the point.

please don't try to deduce my personality type from the posts here- they are only a tiny fraction of the real me, and I certainly will never parade the real me here!

Maybe we both need to step back from this thread, especially you as you are getting very emotional over it, understandably, but it is your choice to keep reading and posting over and over again!

Ok howto, I agree we should step away now and hopefully be friendly on a less emotive thread.

It was just hard for me to come round after your early post on this thread:

It was flip and hurtful to anyone who has seriously battled hard with their weight. And there was little human compassion in any of your posts.
