to think that the doctor is going to cut off my tongue?

I posted this in general health, but I think that AIBU is far too interesting for anyone to read that far down the page!

Ok, so I have this pea sized lump inside my tongue. I can feel it with my fingers, or if I run my tongue between my teeth. It reaaaally hurts!

how long have you had this and has the dentist ever mentioned anything unusual?

i would get to a Dr straight away, it is probably some sort of blocked gland/abcess/ulcer, but you must go and get worse stuff ruled out

Dp persuaded me to visit the doctor, who was very blase about the whole thing and gave me some steroid cream. phew
