Lovesdogsandcats · 27/05/2009 22:05

Or you are deluded

Goober · 27/05/2009 22:08

So...... us peasants who can't afford free range every time should live on what?

bohemianbint · 27/05/2009 22:08

well, you know. Free-ish. After they pay for themselves, IYSWIM.

Lovesdogsandcats · 27/05/2009 22:09

There's a smug thread just above this one for you

differentID · 27/05/2009 22:10

ok- go on then, find something that is cheaper and more ethical than intensively reared chicken and cage eggs. that will feed say a family of 4/5 and provide the same level of protein etc.

Lovesdogsandcats · 27/05/2009 22:10

Well, I haven't eaten an egg in a LONG time and I'm still here!
There is nothing in an egg that'll kill you if you don't eat one...soooo, if you can't afford free range every time, eat something else!

How about a mung bean cottage pie, with veg on the side?

OP posts:
bohemianbint · 27/05/2009 22:11

something chick pea based? Cheap and very good source of protein.

Lovesdogsandcats · 27/05/2009 22:11

Or beans on toast?

OP posts:
bohemianbint · 27/05/2009 22:12

beans on toast is a perfect protein.

2shoes · 27/05/2009 22:12

i think we should all just eat dogs and cats, there are loads of them about.

omelette and salad for 4 people, using cheap value produce. Find me a meal that's as light to eat that will provide the same nutritional values for less than the cost of that.

jellybeans · 27/05/2009 22:14

I only buy free range, would never buy battery, too cruel.

Goober · 27/05/2009 22:14

Sounds luvverly!
