She gets such a bad press on here. I think in the scheme of female telly personalities, she's good. And always looks veh nice.

I thought her make-up was awful last night though

Too much Botox etc

But lovely figure and hair

And I think her comments to people are ok actually

GossipMonger · 27/05/2009 08:57

I quite like her but she can be a bit dim!

I nearly peed myself laughing when she said that she didnt think Merlin would burn to death!! the danger was in whether the rope would burn and he would fall on his head!

CaptainUnderpants · 27/05/2009 09:02

I was just wondering about her last night whilst watching Britains Got Talent ( my DH hates the programme but I hate football so we will be relatively even tonight ! )

I agree with comments that she always look good etc etc and gives reasoned comments ( unlike Kelly whats her name )

But how did Amanada get to be a judge on the show ( besides the obvious that she is attractive) what are her previous 'claims to fame '- besides Les Dennis etc

Just wondering, otherwise I think is is quite nice .

HellHathNoFury · 27/05/2009 09:03

I think she's lovely!
Rather have her than Sharon Osborne any day!

Madmentalbint · 27/05/2009 09:03

I love AH! I think she's beautiful and funny, although I did cringe a little during the rope burning explanation Bless!

Did anyone else think there seemed to be something wrong with Simon's mouth on Monday evening? On the left it looked slightly puffy and numb - too much botox maybe? Or collagen or something? It didn't look so bad last night.

mrsmaidamess · 27/05/2009 09:03

Yes she does fall down somewhat at the claim to fame stakes. Altho she has starred in The West End and been on that dreadful African drama thing with all the giraffes.

DP said he looked like he'd had all his wisdoms out

HellHathNoFury · 27/05/2009 09:04

madmetalbint YES!!

I was wondering the same thing! DH couldn't see it, I am glad you did, I thought I was losing my marbles

HellHathNoFury · 27/05/2009 09:07

seems we are not alone

CaptainUnderpants · 27/05/2009 09:07

I didn't realise she had been in west End - what was she in ?

I suppose I was comparing her with Denis Van Outen as she apperas to be very talented but BBc had already got her on their talent prgrammmes .

mrsmaidamess · 27/05/2009 09:12

I think she was in Me and My girl (don't quote me on that)

And probably Chicago.

Even I've been In Chicago

I think HellHathNoFury has nailed it: thank the sweet lord for Amanda Holden if we don't need Sharon Osbourne
I have never been able to watch anything with that woman in it, and since she has slunk back under her stone, a whole new world of shite telly fascinating televisual delights has been opened to me!

LaaDeDa · 27/05/2009 09:15

I think she's really funny. She's not bland but she puts her pov across without being mean and whilst still being truthful.
She was in Thoroughly Modern Millie i think.

HellHathNoFury · 27/05/2009 09:16

BOF yep!

Just her screeching inane 'look at me I'm awesome and a businesswoman and everything' and acting like Gods Gift to parenthood and entertainment.
ARGH!

I couldn't give a toss if Amanda was someone off the street, she is 'normal' and pretty and softens the comments of the other two without being a sycophant like Paula Abdul

CherryChoc · 27/05/2009 09:44

Aw, what's wrong with Sharon Osbourne? I thought she came across as lovely when she was on X Factor.

mrsruffallo · 27/05/2009 09:45

YABU

Gateau · 27/05/2009 09:47

YABU for caring

dietstartstomorrow · 27/05/2009 09:48

I LOVE her!

Can't understand why she get's such a hard time on here either.

ilovemydogandmrobama · 27/05/2009 09:53

YABVU - she was horrible to my friend Merlin on Britain's Got Talent. I mean really, she was about to buzz when he was 9 feet upside down in the air, because she was worried about his safety?

tallulahbelly · 27/05/2009 10:03

I despised her until I saw her on stage in Thoroughly Modern Millie.

She could sing and dance and act and was in just about every scene for a near three-hour show.

I left voicing my new-found admiration for her talents.

Bloody bitch for making me eat my words.

southeastastra · 27/05/2009 10:05

she should stay on the stage if that's where her talents lie then.

she is bloody annoying though i find that bgt show completely embarassing to all involved.

SerendipitousHarlot · 27/05/2009 10:05

I hate her. Actually want to punch her. HTH

Lizzylou · 27/05/2009 10:07

I like her, she seems like a woman you could go out with and have a laugh, but I wouldn't sit next to her as she far too attractive

She was in Cutting It a while back too.

I saw her in Manchester when she was married to Les Dennis, she is tiny and very pretty. They looked rather odd together tbh.

bella39 · 27/05/2009 10:09

I tried to stay on the fence until I read an interview where she said:

'So glad I am married to a sex god now '

  • one more kick in the teeth for Les Dennis, eh?
