just as I've managed to get everyone calmed down and en route to bed -- and then bang, DCs are rushing around screaming like the place is on fire

that's the cue to go out and leave him to struggle getting the kids to bed

Promdress · 26/05/2009 20:23

you'll actually look back on this all misty-eyed in around 30 years you know...

Is damn annoying at the time but the stuff that family memories are made of

nevergonnapost · 26/05/2009 20:34

i agree with promdress thank your lucky stars you have such a loving home

luvoneson · 26/05/2009 20:51

at least your one comes home sober!

icedgemsrock · 26/05/2009 20:51

at least you have a dh!

pointydog · 26/05/2009 20:57

aw - that's nice actually. Annoyingly nice

FabulousBakerGirl · 26/05/2009 20:59

I see your point but the kids are pleased to see their dad.

When Dh comes home, he takes over with the kids and I start our dinner. He gets them ready for bed. Spends time with them, etc etc.

Let your Dh sort them.

scottishmummy · 26/05/2009 21:00

what is the problem?daddy home and kids happy.sounds nice

many people have a shit partner and dread the key in the door.wondering if it will be a smack or punch awaits them

TheCrackFox · 26/05/2009 21:04

Retire to a room that they are not in and have a G and T. Relax and let your Dh cope with the chaos he has created.

SalLikesCoffee · 26/05/2009 21:06

Give him that, he's obviously missing them desperately during the day, and they're so excited to see him!
