To think that since Britain's Got Talent is clearly aimed at a family audience

they should put it on at a time when a family can actually watch it together.
Last night was bad enough, but I let the children stay up as a half-term treat.
But tonight - it starts at 9pm ffs and doesn't finish until 10.30.
Why?

I thought the guy with the piercings was a little bit much for family entertainment. But yes, it is on a bit late for the little ones, especially on a week night.

Yes, I hadn't thought of that, but you're absolutely right!

PurlyQueen · 25/05/2009 16:43

Can't you record it and watch it at a more suitable time?

LupusinaLlamasuit · 25/05/2009 16:43

Perhaps the tits burlesque lady is on tonight so they have to show it after the watershed? It is pretty tame though.

WE have Sky+

Yes, I wasn't really expecting piercing man. Those ears
My children are 12, 9 and 7 so not really little - but tv is normally off from 7pm on a school night and 8.30 on a non-school night.

I thought the pole belly dancer was a bit much for a 'family' audience...

There again, I can't be bothered with all the voting malarky. I like the auditions, but don't really care who wins.

MichelleObama · 25/05/2009 16:46

PurlyQueen - we can record but video is ancient and not very reliable.

Isn't it half term break at the mo?

MichelleObama · 25/05/2009 16:48

Haribosmummy - yes it is half-term, but I still don't let them stay up that late.

Riven, have you ever tried a little telly in the bedroom with headphones maybe? It must be a pain having to go to bed so early- I don't think I'd sleep.

HolyGuacamole · 25/05/2009 16:51

Yeah I think down south is half term but up in Scotland is normal school days at the mo (apart from todays bank hol).

My friend Merlin is doing a Houdini thing tonight

So scared....

Thunderduck · 25/05/2009 17:00

BGT is available on ITV Catchup.

islandofsodor · 25/05/2009 17:29

Are there any children on tonight? They have to be off stage by a certain time.

mychildrenarebarmy · 25/05/2009 17:38

It is on catchup BUT the ITV catchup thingy is rubbish. Be prepared to have frequent buffering On the other hand Riven that would give you lots of chances for checking on DD (far more often than every 5 minutes IME).

yappybluedog · 25/05/2009 17:54

my dd ran out of the room SCREAMING when freaky ears bloke started

Don't think he was family entertainment

JenniPenni · 25/05/2009 18:58

He was just plain WEIRD!

muggglewump · 25/05/2009 19:01

I've told DD she can stay up till 10 but that's it.
Far too late for a family programme, and it's not school holidays here (Scotland) either. Our kids just had last Thursday and Friday and today.
