Green Party dilemma

WhatToDoIAsk · 23/05/2009 15:24

I've recievd my ballot papers and I am hating all Parties at the moment, but unbelievely The Green Party is appealing to me the most after what I've read so far. Problem is I drive a Range Rover and don't plan ditching it in the near future, so with this loony level of hypocritism aibu to still go ahead and vote for them?

Amazing I'm in the aibu section and haven't been slated spat at for driving a 4x4. Are mn's feeling out of sorts today?
My question is genuine by the way, am waiting for a reality check.

Well, I guess there's more to the Green Party than discouraging use of preposterously large cars . If you agree with them more than the others then vote for them. And put a poster in the window of your Range Rover. Go on!

I would vote Green, keep your big car and just drive less.

mrsboogie · 23/05/2009 16:09

The Green lobby has no problem at all with hypocrisy -vote away!

pinkcake22 · 23/05/2009 16:23

VOTE GREEN

IorekByrnison · 23/05/2009 16:37

How so, mrsboogie?

luvoneson · 23/05/2009 16:44

Keep the range rover dear! I would vote Green Party and I have a Mercedes which gas gussles.

Lulumama · 23/05/2009 16:45

just got my papers and am considering voting green.. although the Jury team sound interesting !!

MsMaggieBeauregarde · 23/05/2009 16:53

Even if you drive an oil rig, vote for the greens because you're giving them a voice. So do it, whether it's hypocrital or not.

I'd find your position a little disappointing.. I'd wonder if, despite understanding and agreeing with all the principles and ideas for the future, you wanted other people to make the sacrafices.

I'm sure the Green Party will thank you for your vote though!

why do you want to vote Green? The trouble with ecohypocrisy is it usually manifests itself in denying to others what you have yourself.
