Ooh oh, yes (well no YANBU obviously)! Congratulations!

(it was within 10 minutes wasn't it?)

CoffeeAndCarrotCake · 21/05/2009 09:57

Have done an embarrassing number of tests, but this is the first one that was actually on the first late day. It was within about 2 mins, but really really faint. I remember with DD it showed up really dark about a week early! Mustn't get too excited yet....but

It sounds good to me! (mind you I am no expert!)

MummyDragon · 21/05/2009 10:07

Do another one tomorrow (if you can wait that long) and post the results on here, please!!! Well done you, great news!

Mine was so faint(my 1st ever line what so ever) when pg with my twins I made dp wee on the spare one so we could compare .

Good luck

YanknCock · 21/05/2009 10:30

My line was so faint that DH wouldn't believe it/said he didn't see anything. But I'd seen so many negatives, I knew there was something different.

Congratulations!

CoffeeAndCarrotCake · 21/05/2009 10:52

Thanks ladies! Once you've squinted at it for a while, you do start to wonder whether you've imagined it! DH was holding it up to the light and to the window in case a different sort of light might make it look darker Perhaps I'll pop out and get just one or two more tests to be sure...

Congratulations

carocaro · 21/05/2009 10:56

Wow, any update?

And why are pregnancy tests so expensive, my cousin who works in pharmecuticals says they costs about 78p to make!!!!

mummytopebs · 21/05/2009 10:57

I did a test monday the day my period was due and there was a really faint line, did another one tuesday morning using first wee and it was a bit darker. I googled it and it can depend on the test how many ml of hcg it tests or sommet, the lower amount the better i think x congrats to you and me x think i will be due 25 jan

fucksticks · 21/05/2009 10:58

buy a digital one! tell us what it says!

misscreosote · 21/05/2009 11:19

Congrats! If you can see it, within the time specified, its there

I remember first time around showing DH (roused off the sofa from watching top gear on a sunday night, so a little unprepared!), and we both stood there going 'but HOW blue?', and basically the leaflet saying 'don't doubt us, don't question us, if its there, its positive!). We then didn't really talk for the rest of the evening we were in so much shock .

Bobblebuddy · 21/05/2009 11:23

Yep, this happened to me. Tested early (before period was due) and got a faint line, then a week later got a strong line.

false positives with these tests are almost impossible - so CONGRATS!

FabulousBakerGirl · 21/05/2009 11:24

My dot could't have been any fainter without being there.

She is 5 now.

CONGRATULATIONS!!

Blooming baby boom on MN at the moment.

And YADNBU.

CoffeeAndCarrotCake · 21/05/2009 11:25

Ooh - hadn't thought about the digital ones...right, am going for a "coffee break" to Boots...

Misscreosote - husband prone in front of Top Gear sounds VERY familiar!!

Industry conspiracy so that you buy a dozen other tests just to 'make sure'. Congrats!

CherryChoc · 21/05/2009 11:34

They aren't expensive if you buy the cheap ones from poundland, or savers - about 99p each.

Digital ones are such a rip off!

CherryChoc · 21/05/2009 11:35

Sorry CaCC meant to say congrats!

Kayzr · 21/05/2009 11:35

Ooooh Congrats!!

Get a first response one. They are really good. Digital ones are a bit rubbish sometimes.

CoffeeAndCarrotCake · 21/05/2009 11:51

Well! Just spent all of my disposable income on a digital one (amazing! It even tells you when you conceived - how did I not know about this technology?!) and.......PREGNANT!!!!!!

Mummytopebs - congrats on the v new pregnancy - 25th for you, 20th for me apparently! And so it begins again.....

Thanks for all the messages everyone! What a lovely Thursday!!
