I may be sensitive, or precious and I'm fairly new on here but I would really like to know what the done thing is here on MN.

So is it unreasonable to expect some sort of acknowledgement when you have responded to another's request for information/advice? [gets ready for a flaming]

TIA

well if you made the effort to write a long post, i think a thank you would be the norm. definitely put it down as an oversight.

stayfrosty - I did a search on luvoneson.

Bloody hell.

Rude and aggressive and critical....calls people names ('frumpy') and labels them ('lefty veggies' 'breast is best brigade'), patronises them and orders them about, spouts rubbish and calls it all facts...

And then wonders why she is finding it hard to find like-minded, normal people like her....!

luvoneson - other forums might suit you better. How about taking your abrasive posting style somewhere like, um, netmums or bounty.com?

They love rude people there.

YANBU. In the circumstances you describe, where you've been to a lot of trouble, and the OP thanks everyone but you, I do think it's really rude.

tiktok....I had wondered if luvoneson was a troll due to there nastiness on lots of threads but thought maybe I was reading to much into it
