The freshly stuffed type you buy from M&S? We had an agreement that all meals would be freshly cooked. I take ages making each meal for him from scratch and have never given him pre-prepared or convenience food and bit annoyed she has.

Umm OK I'm certain you are a troll now VERY VERY few nannies earn 3k a month net! I know plenty who earn £450-550 a week net but not even a Norland nanny working for a very wealthy family earn £750 a week net.

Unless you have a Maternity nurse?

Snippets · 16/05/2009 00:05

Yes, ApplePudding, why don't you get yourself back to work and do a proper job?

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 16/05/2009 00:05

Snippets, you need to relax a bit. There are greater sins in the world than M&S fresh pasta.

frAKKINPannikin · 16/05/2009 00:06

Applepudding that's just judgemental and uncalled for

Thunderduck · 16/05/2009 00:06

This for the nanny, run,run like the wind, run away, far away.

BoysAreLikeDogs · 16/05/2009 00:06

Applepudding that is unacceptable

How dare you

There are plenty of working parents who will read your post and be offended by the implication that they are damaging their children's emotional well being.

Snippets · 16/05/2009 00:06

Clearly, and being a working mother is one of them.

OP posts:
MillyR · 16/05/2009 00:06

Actually, if the beans and sausages are from reputable suppliers, I do think that is a fairly healthy meal. You don't have to buy ones that are full of sugar and salt.

sleepyeyes · 16/05/2009 00:07

Has she made the pasta fresh before?
Did they have a busy day?
Did you ask her why?

GrimmaTheNome · 16/05/2009 00:07

How am I supposed to go to sleep now that I'm craving ravioli or tortellini, and don't have any in the house cos of DHs ruddy salt intolerance which means I can't buy even non-crap partially-prepared food.

Stopfighting · 16/05/2009 00:08

What a lovely person you sound applepudding...

Snippets · 16/05/2009 00:08

Isn'tr that being precious though MillyR? I would diagree it's "fairly healthy" - what about fresh veg?

OP posts:
MaryMotherOfCheeses · 16/05/2009 00:09

I didn't read applepudding's post like that.

Bonneville · 16/05/2009 00:10

I think Applepudding was referring to the amount of hours worked (55). Very few working mothers choose to spend this amount of time in a job.

trixymalixy · 16/05/2009 00:10

God I dream of being able to open a tin of beans and serve it to my DS.

I would consider filled pasta fresh food and I'm certainly not stupid.

Yes (YABU) & a complete twat. Not for feeding your child well, but for posting about something so petty - talk to her - I agree with the others that say you need to define fresh.

KingCanuteIAm · 16/05/2009 00:11

You do not have to have fresh veg at every meal you know, it is quite acceptable to have more at one meal and none at another - and MillyR is right.

Oh and ROFPMSL at you calling anyone precious

applepudding · 16/05/2009 00:11

I am a working mother - just not 55 hours per week. Its work/life balance isn't it??

steviesgirl · 16/05/2009 00:11

I don't know where you're from, but it's certainly a different planet than me! I would regard un-cooked pasta and then cooking it fresh. I give my dd it a lot.

Lucky you have the time to cook pasta from scratch. Or are you having a good laugh? I hope so.

sleepyeyes · 16/05/2009 00:11

Bonneville I disagree I know many mothers who work that and more.

So if a father works 55 hours per week that's all right is it?

Arcadie · 16/05/2009 00:12

yup

Stopfighting · 16/05/2009 00:12

What's wrong with having some feedback on any issue that concerns you, even if it's 'petty'?

I thought that was the prpose of a forum like this...
