And to be thrilled that I have found a brand that still produces the Old Skool bottle?

What does this new style look like?

southeastastra · 15/05/2009 19:54

do you remember the really cheap makes and the bottles were about a foot long

RedCharityBonney · 15/05/2009 19:56

oh ... and round and made of white plastic?

pinkstarfish · 15/05/2009 20:00

The old style ones always used to slip out of my hand when I was all wet and soapy. Oh arrr!

NorbertDentressangle · 15/05/2009 20:01

I once made my mum a Mothers Day present (as shown on Blue Peter) using one of the old style ones -it was a holder for her can of hairspray (very 70's!).

Basically it was a washing up bottle cut down to slightly shorter than the can of hairspray, covered with wallpaper and a strip of ribbon around the top to decorate it.

You couldn't make that with the new style of bottle !

It all comes down to rockets.

However I have found that if one introduces one's child to alchopops one discovers a whole new world of craft making opportunities.

MadamAnt · 15/05/2009 20:06

LOL Norbert

pinkstarfish - is your name meant to be a bit rude sounding?

OP posts:
southeastastra · 15/05/2009 20:06

did she use it norbert?

S1ur · 15/05/2009 20:15

Hey Adam matey,

you alright?

NorbertDentressangle · 15/05/2009 20:19

SEA -she did use it. In fact I'm sure I remember it still being there on her dressing table around the time I left home to go to college.

I'm afraid to say if it was something produced for me by one of my DC it would have found its way out of sight into the back my wardrobe after a week

MadamAnt · 15/05/2009 20:19

Sluuuuur!

Where have you been? Has Real Life been encroaching? Good to see you around.

More importantly....

I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST on wednesday!

Now spill all and sundry about your everything (on a public forum)

where yer been????

MadamAnt · 15/05/2009 20:57

That is SO brilliant!! Well done you. How long were you learning for? I started lessons when I was 18 and didn't pass my test til I was 27. Have you had a solo drive yet?

I've got a bun in the oven and am already looking like a ship in full sail. Only another er...17 weeks to go [rotund]. I'd like to say I'm fine, but I'm suffering from extreme hypochondria this time round (don't ask unless you have a spare couple of hours and a prediliction for tales of the bowel).

Ta! I am very proud of meself, I didn't start until late last year but I am "Older" so am feeling quite smug and chipper (plus I only got ONE minor so clearly I am a driving goddess)

I shall ask about your lot because I am interested (and since I both have a couple of hours and am contractible via PM [wink) so hmm eh? bun - oven - bowels eh?

Sounds delish!
