to feel depressed when I hear of 12 yr old boys pulling a dead bird's wings off and scooting over it?

Am I over-sensitive? Is that just what many 12 yr olds would do?

Tell me to get over it if you want.

eww

I don't have a 12 yr old but wouldn't be impressed if they did this.

Respect for the dead innit. Even if just a manky dead bird.

BernardsCat · 12/05/2009 17:45

i dont think they KILLEd it did they?
my cat is on number two in two days.

I dont think he scoots over them though.

BitOfFun · 12/05/2009 17:46

They will grow up to be serial killers. Or are just horrid little boys < more likely >

pointydog · 12/05/2009 17:46

The bird wasn't that long dead by the tales of gore by those watching in the park.

my cat yesterday ABDUCTED a baby blackbird from its parents, repelled the yells of my mate who said "oi cat no"
and he went
and then ate it in front of the kids in a ritual murder.

pointydog · 12/05/2009 17:47

No, I don;t think the boys killed it.

Even if I gave my cat a scooter it wouldn't want to scoot over a dead bird.

cor, I had forgotten how bad cats are at this. My parents have 5 cats in SAfrica and they bring in snakes ffs and put them in the bed!

pointydog · 12/05/2009 17:49

dh rescued a bird from the cat once. He had to go and wring its neck. Blimey, did he cry.

He won't like hearing about these boys. He doesn't think much of them as it is.

pulling the wings off if disecting for interest wouldn't bother me at all, though I wouldn't do it, and they probably wouldn't then wash their hands - so gross.
Wouldn't like the scooting over.

foxinsocks · 12/05/2009 17:49

eww at eating baby blackbird

cornsilk · 12/05/2009 17:49

That's really horrible.

BernardsCat · 12/05/2009 17:49

i think he does scoot tbh.
he gets about.

Colinfirth · 12/05/2009 17:49

Our cats tortured a mouse for hours. And DP and I were both too wet to fight the cats for it and put it out of its misery.
Feel quite ashamed.
But neither we nor the cats nor the children scotted over it.

pointydog · 12/05/2009 17:50

My cat is utter rubbish at hunting. She has caught two birds in her life (almost certainly).

7 bees

28 butterflies

79 spiders

Colinfirth · 12/05/2009 17:50

Or indeed scooted over it

pointydog · 12/05/2009 17:51

They pulled the wings off to be gory.

Gee, it's made me blue

OP posts:
BernardsCat · 12/05/2009 17:51

you may not haev scotted colinfirth but did oyu scoot?
i hear scottage is quite The Thing.

pointydog · 12/05/2009 17:51

taht's frottage, bernard

OP posts:
BernardsCat · 12/05/2009 17:52

oh yes.

ahem

Colinfirth · 12/05/2009 17:53

OK, I admit it, I scotted the mouse. The whole family scotted it. for hours.
< goes off to post on disgusting scottage websites>

Colinfirth · 12/05/2009 17:56

Sorry, pointydog, this has got a bit frivolous. I found the cat behaviour disturbing enough. Would have felt grim about the boys

BernardsCat · 12/05/2009 17:56

pointy loves a bit of frivol.

Frivol · 12/05/2009 17:57

comme ca

Colinfirth · 12/05/2009 17:59

Oh Ok.

pointydog · 12/05/2009 18:00

I know these boys

They do not make me feel frivol
