For changing the toilet roll when its finished??

Is it the person using the last piece, or the person using the new roll first?

I think its the person using the last piece, but maybe I have got it all wrong?

You're right, if the last person is the woman of the house. I think you'll find should it be the bloke, he'll leave it on the floor.

TweetleBeetle · 07/05/2009 16:25

The person who used the last bit of the old roll - they know it needs changing. The next person to need the loo doesn;t and it can be too late until they find out!

Twims · 07/05/2009 16:25

Well if the last person is a woman then it's the last person if the first person is a woman then it's the first person but if the man is the last or the first then the magic toilet fairy does it of course

MadameCastafiore · 07/05/2009 16:26

DH always leaves that horrid torn bit that is glued to the cardboard roll - aaarrrgggghhhh!!!!!!!!!

Now I haven't an extra big noonie but that wouldn't wipe a gnat's noonie!

VinegarTits · 07/05/2009 16:28

person using the last peice, but if its a man, dont expect them to change it, its to difficult a task for them

Mumcentreplus · 07/05/2009 16:35

...my DH changes the roll more than me...does that mean I'm the inconsiderate one then?

FabulousBakerGirl · 07/05/2009 16:39

Who uses the last piece replaces it with a new one in this house. Sensible and fair imo.

Greensneeze · 07/05/2009 16:40

I think it's the person using the last piece. Except it never is, unless it's me

FabulousBakerGirl · 07/05/2009 16:40

My DH does anything that needs doing. He hasn't had a sense bypass because he was born with a penis and not breasts.

FlyMeToDunoon · 07/05/2009 16:47

Like a lot of other things in my house it is done by me the maid!

TrillianAstra · 07/05/2009 16:50

In theory whoever moves the spare roll onto the holder has to get a new 'spare' roll from the cupboard. Can't leave it down to the last piece, what if you're doing a poo?

starzzz · 07/05/2009 16:53

When asking my original question, i actually had in mind the situation where the spare roll is actually within reach.

Both at home and at work, they are kept within reach, but yet in both...the roll is always left empty!

I dont get it, if you are using loo paper (male or female) you are sat down, doing nothing with your hands...why not just change it???

the mind boggles!!

the spare roll is within reach. Very important.

FlyMeToDunoon · 07/05/2009 16:55

I also get the inner holder thingy left on the floor scenario which is v.annoying.

ProstetnicVogonJeltz · 07/05/2009 16:55

Me. I am the only person to ever change it. Therfore it is my job. I'll come round and do everyones if the just let me know when they are running low.

starzzz · 07/05/2009 16:57

You dont want to get me started on when someone hasn't filled the spare roll holder thingie back up....grrrrrrr

OldLadyKnowsNothing · 07/05/2009 17:53

In the downstairs bathroom - used mainly by DH and me - it's whoever finished the last roll - spares are kept to hand. Though DH is very good at not quite finishing a roll. In the upstairs shower room, used mainly by DS1&2, their GFs, and the teenage lodger (and his GF).... I really don't care.

They've learned the hard way to do it themselves.
