He always blardy comes off!

I like bikes and racing, but when its other people!

If he comes off and needs to go to hospital, I will have to drive home with kids! I havent driven for 2 years!

He has been preparing this pile of shit bike for the last 9 months! He wants me to take photos.

He used to race years ago, before I met him, and from what I gather he was good, if he didnt crash

I dont want to go!

ps I have picked this man up from hospital with a broken pelvis, when he had a come-to with a tractor...he does heal quickly, which is a good thing I guess. He had a near lower leg amputation once, and has broken most of his bones. It dont bode well, does it!

YANBU

Can't someone else go and video and you watch later?

bumpybecky · 05/05/2009 18:57

they normally have photographers at the track don't they? there was the time DH did his track day

don't blame you for not wanting to watch

Divvy · 05/05/2009 21:05

There are photographers, he wants me to watch him I think!

Mind, least there are less things to hit on the track

you have my sympathy .. luckily my dp goes on his own and touch wood hasn't come off ... yet!

BigBellasBeerBelly · 05/05/2009 21:18

Maybe he wants you to don a short skirt and hold an unbrella over him

YANBU tell him you will be having bad enough confloptions without having to watch...

Divvy · 15/05/2009 06:55

Well he has just left. Now I am here with a day of worrying! Its also wet, so hopefully maybe it will be canceled

Yes they should scrap it if it's wet. good luck

Divvy · 15/05/2009 07:13

Scraping it wont get it over and done with though, as they will just offer him another day at a reduced amount

Yes that's a point...oh dear!

I guess you can't stop him though. I wish I didn't have children sometimes so I could still go to track days - I never got round to doing one myself, it does look rather fun

Divvy · 15/05/2009 07:40

I havent done track days either, but can see why he would want to

You have my Sympathy, DH is in a Army Motorbike Display Team and has been for 16 years.

He is leaving the Army in September and for the first time he was not in the Opening Show of the Season.

It was the first time I actually watched while they did the fast crossover rides.

He has been lucky and never been seriously hurt.

But I have seen enough of the team badly hurt to be grateful that he is now not riding.

He is back home in one piece!
