to consider sacking the window cleaners?

They have no set day that they turn up. When they do turn up, they don't make their presence known until they are actually at the window. Today they turned up at 8.33am and caught me in the middle of BFing DD with my dressing gown wide open. I don't shut the curtains because you can't see in from the street (we have a front garden). This is about the 4th time they have caught me in varying states of undress. Once I was in the bath. Once I was inserting a maternity pad into my duds. Is it too much to ask that they just knock on the door first? I can't be expected to shut my curtains IN CASE the window cleaners come can I? They could come any time of day on any day of the week.

Plus we pay them a tenner each time - and they're rubbish. They have blatantly missed the kithen window. It's filthy.

They ought at least to ring on the doorbell when they arrive to let you know. Tell them to.

I know! I hate the interruption of random nudeyness n my day too...luckily I have a small barky dog who loathes the window cleaners and gives me a good warning

If they do a bad job, then sack them.
YABU to expect them to warn you every time.
My window cleaner has never given me any warning and just gets on with it. I'm sure your dids are not the first they've seen, and won't be the last.

mine ring first

but I did ask them to becasue I hate them leaving a note demanding payment if they've done them whilst I am out.

I only want them done if I am there

do your use the magic farkin water for the upstairs

basically they don't have to climb up and wipe ,just spary this magical water ..load of shite

Have asked mine to only do them when I'm ther but I'm going to have to sack them becasue I can't afford them anymore!

We have just sacked ours, mainly due to cost and the fact that we have had to take a pay cut and DP and I work for the same company, so unecessary expenses like window cleaners were the first to go. Also he did a shit job anyway and constantly left out the landing window. He used to claim he forgot it was there . Funnily enough the house opposite is a exactly the same as ours but a mirror image, he never forgot to do there landing window!

Yeh gone are the days when window cleaners actually climbed up a bloody ladder and actually cleaned the windows.
