Have had enough of bloody irritable bowels. nothing major but loads of wind, either a bit soft and go 4 or 5 times a day or a bit bunged up and get pain as if constipated even if I went 4 times the day before. not every day but fairly often.
I am also hacked off with bloody painful ovary pain for 3 days a month. PMT (only the day before) and horrible period pains.
Gp doesn't get it. took cerazette for a few years which sorted out the ovaries and period pain but made me feel sort of flat and numb and fat.
should I drink a large amount of wine and get out the bread knife?

You poor thing. Your title certainly grabs the attention but I know what you mean!

For what it's worth, I have the Mirena coil. I used to have terrible period pains before and between kids, and just couldn't face it again. I won't lie - it took a good few months to settle down, but I haven't had a period now for about 5 years. A tiny bit of PMt (nothing like before) and no ovary pain!

Hopefully someone with more detailed advice on who you should speak to will be along soon. Sounds like you need a second opinion. This sort of thing drags you down terribly

Have you tried Mefenamic Acid for the period pain. Apparently it is a drug for arthritis but a side effect is much reduced cramping during periods. I was prescribed it for period pain and it's fantastic. I got my life back. You only take it when in pain and only up to 1 tablet every 8 hours. I got no side effects from it just fantastic pain control. Ask you doctor whether it would be worth a try.

Yes homebird, my friend (a GP) recommended it to me years ago. I didn't get round to trying it because I got preggers ....
