...sat in the garden having their tea while having an animated conversation, while their 9 month old is happily playing on a mat next to them.

Meanwhile I have yet to feed and bath etc three children age 7, 5 and 2.10, with dh being away.

And I can't even say that we used to have that...

ah but the 9 month old is probably still getting up in the night, teething and refusing solids
and they have yet to embark on the hell that is potty training and school runs etc, lol

I'm envious of those with gardens - we have a yard. Oh, and it's too cold here in Scotland to eat outside anyway.

My 9 month old won't play happily on a mat for more than 2 minutes.

She does sleep through the night even when teething and eat all her solids though.
