To want to lock myself away for the last 2 weeks of pregnancy with DD2...

...lest I severely injure the next person who says 'oh, you're still pregnant then?' or 'wow, you're huge, are you due soon?'. I'm due on Friday. I am ready to just about kill everyone about the slightest thing, and I'm getting so wound up in the car with other stupid drivers! But its people making constant comments about being 'still here' that's the worst. I went overdue by 2 weeks for my first preg and remember avoiding leaving home or answering the phone at this stage then as well.

I remember feeling exactly the same!

No advice, but it's probably those darn hormones !etc

Just say

"Oh, I'm not still pregnant. I had it last week actually. I'm now just hugely FAT. Thanks a lot for nothing."

and then burst into tears.

That'll shut 'em up.

It's worse when they say it after the baby is born.

Actually, I have started to reply 'what do you mean?' when people ask when I'm due. That panicked look in their face is priceless!
