to want birthday cards on my birthday?

I'm feeling ( genuinely) like billy no mates - have had about 4 cards today. No surprises, no spoiling, no phone calls - nothing. AIBU to want to feel just a little bit special for one day a year?

happy birthday

I know how you feel, I did nothing for my 30th this year because I didnt arrange it. Twas pants. In fact it was made more pants because I had to go to asda to buy the stuff for a brthday tea because the kids expected it and dh was even off work but I knackered my back because I carried it all into the house myself.

So I went on a huge spending spree which I have never done before and totally spoiled myself (all online, credit card nearly melted) and felt much better.

So go and buy yourself something nice

thanks. actually have just got a BIG bunch of flowers from Dh so not feeling quite so bad now - just need to make a cake for the kids tea!
