Tiger-30 odd years ago (er, 37 actually in my 1st job after leaving school one of the women in our Accounts Dept used to have 2 bottles of Barley Wine & 2 bottles of Pils lager with her lunch . I tried a sip of the barley wine once-never again!!!!!!

OMG, I thought I drank a lot, that would send me to bed for the rest of the day.

I bet this was deep in the Black Country, or maybe in the bits of Worcestershire that didn't have gymkhanas.

Yep,Black Country. And she still managed to balance all the figures with just a crappy adding machine (no calculators then). This was in the good old days when the Directors and most of the workers spent their lunch hours in the pub. Unlike today unless you work at Underworld on Corrie .

Just tried ginger beer shandy. Half of each was too fiery for me so I did more of a ginger beer top. 3/4 pint beer and about 1/4 pint ginger beer.
